Here are some pictures from after the dinner, when the Royal Family received the Nobel Laureates and their families in the Prince's Gallery and many of the guests joined the dance in the Golden Hall.

Because he is no longer Chairman. Dr. Bengt Samuelsson has stepped down as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nobel Foundation, the new Chairman is Dr. Marcus Storch. Yesteday he was the host of the Nobel festivties, and the Queen's escort.

It's much easier to do when you have gorgeous subjects...:D

Good job, ladies and gentlemen! Thanks for sharring all these numerous photos and especially for translating the infos for us!
Princess Victoria was beautiful! The cut of the dress was very flattering and the jewels very well co-ordinated with the whole ensemble. But above all, I loved that hairdo! Charming!

Madeleine was also attractive, but I have to say I didn't like the Queen's dress... there's something there that doesn't work... I'm not sure if it's the neckline or the colour, but it didn't correspond to her usual glamourous appearances... Well, just my unworthy two cents.

These photos are a joy for the eyes! :)

Thanks so much indeed to everyone who keeps posting pics here!
I agree with you Elsa M. regarding the Queen's dress. When wearing it before, it was combined with the Leuchtenberg sapphires and looked great - this dress was just made for those sapphires, but not the cameo set. Plus, the neckline looked weird as it was too big for the cameo necklace & also got pulled in all the wrong directions by the order, the sash & the brooch.
But tonight, we have the 2nd Nobel 'Day After' gala coming up at The Stockholm Palace. It always gets much less coverage but I sure hope for some more glittering pics!

The Swedish Royal Family should give Madeleine more necklaces, especially for Nobel! I've seen only two necklaces being rotated around for gala events for Madeleine. The pearl choker and the Connaught Diamond Necklace (necklace she wore to Nobel this year). While I like the Connaught Diamond Necklace, Madeleine needs some new jewels! She should borrow from Silvia or Victoria.

well she does have sum more..but i agree with you..she def needs more

Out of my secret sources I know, that Madeleine was present tonight!
She wore a dark blue dress and the six button Tiara, Victoria wore a greenish-brownish dress, she has often worn before and this steel Tiara, she wore last year at the actual Nobel day. Silvia wore a white dress (I think she has worn it to the NPA before) and the 9 pronge Tiara. Lilian and Christina came in blue. I think Christina has worn her dress last year to the NPA.

I´m 99% sure Madeleine wears tonight the dress, she has worn the the ball of the Innocence order in 2003 and to Willem Alexander´s wedding.
I´m not sure about Lilian, but I would say all Royal Ladies wore recycled dresses tonight.

the steel tiara?!? oooooooooooooooooooh nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo *cries*

Thank you for all the pictures!
Are there also any pictures of Sonja Bernadotte and Björn Bernadotte?

I haven't found the clip of the banquett yet. Can anybody help me, please?
Thank you very much.

This guy looks really happy :D

he's an orthodox jew and they said he got to smile and be happy the whole sabbat ...(which was saturday apperently)

he also couldnt go by car from the concert house to the city hall..he had to walk with his whole extremly large family (30 ppl or something like that) but they had some major difficulties getting through the cordons even tho he was one of the prizewinners..the cops wouldn't let him through..but he kept smiling while their swedish escort cursed the cops ...in tv...:D

i actully like the steel tiara its cool

well everyone cant have the same taste;) i think its horrible...its the only tiara in my opinion which r worse than the button tiaras..and i sooo hate them on V n M...they r "ok" on lillian n christina... but i'd rather see that neither of these three tiaras was ever used again..but thats just my opinion:rolleyes:

I feel a rant comming:rolleyes: yes Royals are not about clothes its about good work, dedication, seving your country, beeing serious etc etc.

That aside:cool: its gala time for some really worthy people why can they get a new frock, I dont get it, Victoria has worn that ooogly brown frock many times, its nothing special about it, you can get nicer dresses at Zara. Silvia wears a dress she has worn now for 10 years and to Nobel last year, and Madeleiens dress is also old. Every gala there is one old dress after anohter for the intired family. In what other Royal house do we see such prudency with gala clothes. (except for queen Sonja and Margrethe and the Princess Royal) I dont care if they wear their suits a gazillion time but Silvia has not gotten one new gala dress the whole year and Madeleine 1 news dress (yesterday)since Freds wedding in 2004. Are they out of money:confused: . Victoria has worn the burgundy dress from Austrailia to 3 high profile events in 9 months, not even Queen Sonja would do that with her favourite salmon dress with wings. And Silvia should get generous with the jewels, she gives Victoria the ooogly steel tiara and Madeleine the equally oooogly button tiara, there are plenty more beautiful which they could have borrowed, they are afterall the Kings daughter. I only hope this prudency means they are saving up for a giant white wedding dress....Rant finnished:D

Great rant. :D I guess most here agree. Good gala dresses don´t need to be expensive. But I bet this brownish-platin-greenish dress was
The bold part makes me again looking misty-eyed and dreaming

i actually liked how they all looked. loved the detail of victoria's dress in the waist and madeleine looked as gorgeous as always (although i prefered much more her lovely golden dress of 2003). however, it was nice seeing all of them. lillian, despite her age, manages to look wonderful everytime. she is such a lovely lady... the hairdos were absolutely lovely. nobody better than the swedish royals for those. they look extremely well done.

While I agree that the color is not good, if she wore her hair like she does in either of these two photos, she will look great in it despite its color. I like her hair like that. I mean that up down look in the second one and the tied back look in the second one. By the way, here are some photos of Madeleine in the dress that she wore for the wedding(actually, the dinner. For the wedding itself, she wore a suit.) of the crown prince and princess of the Netherlands and for the innocence ball of 2003:
