Nobody is saying the UK is perfect but if they had taken their time and sorted something out and thought through a plan that did not involve Charles subsidising them they probably would have been fine. Charles provided transition money, but they obviously expected more. Basically they wanted the perks and kudos of being connected to the RF but not the work. Blanket statements like things that go on in the UK isn’t exactly helpful.
I understand you feel that way and we’ll continue to agree to disagree. I just have different thoughts and views as you do. I also think what they wanted was different than what you’ve stated. In my eyes, they were happy to work on the behalf of the RF as long as they could fund themselves and not be involved in the Rota system or be beholden to the tabloids and the reporters who work for those tabloids that make up the rote. As, being publicly funded was the stick to beat them with when it came to that.
I just don’t think it was safe and others do. I’m not even on about Charles and funding them. I have thoughts on that, that differ as well.
Though I do understand how it looks to you.
I agree that I don’t think she was prepared for a lot of the backlash. Sometimes you think you will be able to handle things and then realize you can’t.
True. Though some of it and a main driving factor of it. She couldn’t have been prepared for and the silence around that was deafening.
