Jewels for Princess Leonor

So this set was sold a few years ago but I really hope that the Spanish Royal Family is stocking up on pieces like these for Princess Leonor to wear eventually. With her blue eyes aquamarines will look so beautiful on her

Or maybe they bought one of the 2 aquamarine parures at Christies sale, more likely the first set as much as I would love the Spanish Royal Family to have a large traditional parure.

I do hope the Spanish do build up a good collection of aquamarine jewellery for the Queen and Leonor to wear in time, but I cannot claim to be a massive fan of any of this jewellery.

It is a pity King Juan Carlos did not succeed to buy Queen Ena's aquamarine Parure back from his Torlonia cousins.

No, there were only stories that he tried to buy it from them.

Had Sibilla not married into a Royal House then perhaps they may have been coaxed into selling it to King Juan Carlos.

But she is from a very wealthy Family. So probably the have no need to sell it. But i think they don't own the entire Parure as the necklace was worn by Sibilla's aunt in 2004.

I read somewhere it was split between the family but Sibilla is the only one who will need a taiara.

Queen Ena's aquamarine parure went to her daughter Infanta Beatriz, when Beatriz died it was believed the parure was split between her 2 daughters. Princess Sibilla is a granddaughter of Infanta Beatriz, one of 11 grandchildren.

An old-cut diamond diadem total weight c. 23 ct at Dorotheum's website

An old-cut floral diamond diadem

I like that one. It's nice size and at least some of the diamonds are quite substantial. I don't like the positioning on the model, but I think overall it has possibilities.

I just saw in live the Bruun Rasmussen Auction:
Queen Alexandrine Bracelet was sold 700.000 DKK more than its estimation
Princess Thyra's tiara was sold 650.000 DKK , less than its estimation.
Both by phone buyers !

I had planned to watch it, but I took a nap and didn't wake up.
I'm surprised about the tiara going for less than estimated, but with the economic situation being what it is I guess the party is over .

They would be really nice additions to Queen Mathilde's jewel chest and not that overly expensive either!

Exactly my point. These are not spectacular pieces, but small pieces that can bulk up the jewel box of either Mathilde or Mary. Some of these pieces will be suitable to lend out to the children who will also need to be suitably bejewelled in the not so distant future.

The Danish Royal has'n yet a sapphire tiara, I wish they would reacquire The Alexandrine Sapphire which was on loan at Amalienborg Museum

I would love to see Q Mathilde add both of these brooches to her collection, most royal families have brooches in each style

I think these earrings would look better with her laurel wreath tiara then her other modern options https://onlineonly.christies.com/s/...fleurs-diamants-96/173186?ldp_breadcrumb=back

This piece would make a very nice diamond necklace and a smaller tiara option for Princess Elizabeth of Belgium

Love the diamond necklace, and certainly one that Mathilde can put to good use.

I wonder if the buyers of princess Elisabeth of Denmark tiara and bracelet are Danes who may borrow them for exhibitions.
They left the Royal Family.
I don't think the Royal Houses will buy jewels at each Auction ?

At the Paris Debutantes ball , they wore royal jewels bought by famous jewellers who loan them.
