I agree. One fine leftover from Empress Josephine.Thomas Parkman said:But good people that Leuchtenburg parure is out of this world.
Daneborn said:I didn't see the Prize Award live, so I missed princess Lilian, who was banned from the banquet.
Jose said:Princess Lilian is more mother to Queen Silvia and grandmother to royal children.
I agree, she looked magnificent this yearLena said:Madeleine looked really fantastic! It seems she has gotten, what the event is about (about the laureates of course but the whole circus wouldn´t be half as much "prestige", if it wouldn´t be done this special way)
that is my biggest issue with Wahlin, he still dresses her like she is a girl of 19 but she is now a grown woman, soon 30 with a fantstic body, why not show it of in something matureLena said:I though think about skipping next years NPA, because I felt so disappointed by Victoria. How could she recycle this dress AGAIN, ok it´s not her worst...but we have seen it at least 3 times before...and I don´t like the plastic looking skirt with the strange mix of colours...and all together it´s typically Lars Wallin, who makes only "girly" dresses...and this doesn´t do a woman AND crown princess of nearly 30 years justice. Didn´t like her hairdo either...and also not the earrings.
Oh dear, A "Im not happy with how my Crown Princess dresses supportclub"Lena said:After many fantastic evening appearances of late I had really high hopes for Victoria...and now this. I think I need to found a self help group with HenriM. And in the light of my disappointment I hope, that Victoria generally will go back to dull, so that never ever again a spark of hope could come up
Henri, I'm merely referring to what's been said here and in Swedish papers the past week.Yennie said:Apparently Lilian isnt invited to the Nobel dinner. Aftonbladet writes that she was unaware of that and said she wanted to call the queen to check whats going on.
The royal court says Lilian is to old and not strong enough to be able to attend the party
Looks like they need to work on the communication

Daneborn said:As a tax payer in Sweden I'm happy that Victoria, as well as the other royal ladies, actually do recycle their gowns.
Henri M. said:That is true, it saves taxpayer's money indeed, but let us keep things in perspective. The costs of gowns are peanuts compared by the costs for the upkeep of the royal residences, the security, the transportation, the staff, the military ceremonial, the royal apanages, the royal archives, the royal parks, the royal stables, etc.
The costs for gowns are maybe 1% of the total royal budget.
