The Duchess of Sussex's Maternity Fashion: October 2018 -

Yeah I don't see the issue in her walking either. And those shoes are to die for.

Not a fan of the green dress. It is a miss for me. I didn't hate it but meh.

Also that speech? So good. Glad she doing more public speaking because she is great at it.

It's funny how people react so differently to fashion!

I really like the Antonio Berardi dress. It's a color I really like anyway, it is subtly a nod to the military and the backless halter style gives it an evening vibe.
As far as being shapeless-only through her torso which was being squished in some of the more fitted dresses she's worn. I find it perfect for early pregnancy.

It is the shoes I dislike--the huge cuff around her ankle is clunky and distracting.

Her hair is a miss for me-I think I don't like the middle part with this hairdo, but maybe it's the tendrils that are too lank or large. I loved her hair for the basketball finals.

I find it amusing that since some people can't criticize Meghan for NOT wearing English and local designers on this tour...Have to find something else to nitpick about.

I really like her hair away from her faces with out strands falling around her faces . It’s a good look for .

She should wear shoes like that more often, they hide her ankles.

I don’t understand the hate for the dress. Not my favorite, but not terrible either. I can understand why she’d go this waist. I’m sure baby Sussex appreciates it too.

Now the SHOES! It kills me when she wears this type of shoes because I love it on her so much, but know I can never pull it off. Especially with a below the knee dress. I see nothing wrong with the way she walks in high heels. She walks the way she walks. Seems normal to me and my almost two decades love affair with high heels.

The colour of the dress is 'khaki green', absolutely appropriate for the occasion, a lovely tribute to the Australian Army.

You know..now I think about it....what an inspired choice!

Still didn't like the colour but I now understand why it was chosen.

The shoes are awful and no one who is short should wear a shoe that cuts her at her ankle. That being said, she is pregnant and she should wear more sensible shoes to begin with. A fall from a really high heel is silly. Lovely outfits.

She should wear whatever shoes she's comfortable with and these particular heels are hot! She wore them again today.

I really like what I can see of the dress as well.

I was just thinking the same thing: what I can see of the dress, I like! Definitely like the color.

I don’t like the shoes though. The strap/buckle just seems too big. Someone upthread called it clunky IIRC. That seems apt imo.

The dress looks beautiful, and that is a gorgeous color on her. Need better photos, but I'm loving what I see so far.

The shoes look painful.

Love this burgundy 'travel' dress...just gorgeous!

Absolutely adore the color of the dress, garnet? I was hoping we didn’t have to see those awful shoes again, they emphasize the thinness of her legs and remind me of shackles I am sorry to say

? she does not look pregnant here at all imo. She looks nice though

Well, good thing she’s not short then. Although I’ve personally found shoes like these are far less dependent on height than great legs. As for high heels when pregnant, I leave it to the person to make a judgment for themselves on that as I don’t walk in their shoes.

Wrap and belted dresses like these have a tendency to hide "belly pouch", whether someone is pregnant or not. They are very flattering for everyone.

BTW...I mean no offence with "belly pouch", just couldn't think of a better terminology right now.

Whoever has been tying her belts, on this dress, the blue shirtwaist and the olive green striped, is doing a perfect job of it

Very likely to be herself.

Meghan arrived in a black dress with a plaid trench over it. I obviously haven’t see the dress without the trench, but it looks like maternity dress to me.

Holy windy Batman! Meghan came out and tied her trench behind her, but she had to take the knot out and tie it in front after the pictures because it’s so windy.

Definitely a real maternity dress! Baby Sussex has really grown since the beginning of this tour.

At this rate it will be born on the last day of the tour! I actually can't see much of a bump there today.
Back to black again, a nod to New Zealand I guess. Hope it doesn't continue. I do like the trench coat though.

Not a fan of the black dress...too short and not really flattering...and the winds are way too strong for that type of dress..lucky there wasn't a mishap!

Love the trench!

Love that burgundy dress. That colour looks so nice on her.

Agree.

I would never wear such heels but she looks great with these and she apparently feels good with these so she wears them since the first day. It may sound ridiculous but I know people who never wear flats as they are not comfortable to them and always prefer heels.

BTW if the heels are the only things people can criticize I guess it means it's a really good outfit..

Beautiful burgundy dress. :flowers: Hugo Boss
Meghan & Harry Depart Australia for New Zealand

Earrings are an Australian designer, Sydney based. The bag is American but the label is involved in a program to give clothes to victims of a use trying to start a new life. Another label chosen by Meghan with a connection to a woman's cause.

Black dress a bit bland and non descript. UK ASOS brand.

But the trench coat is fantastic. In love with it. NZ designer added bonus.

Earrings are from her go to Birks.

When you are pregnant you can wear the shoes you want, Meghan is the one pregnant and she wears the shoes she wants and makes up her own mind about what risks she is worried about .

I actually think those buckle shoes hide how thin her legs are and unfortunately I don't know any exercises to beef up ankles. [emoji23]

Before this color thing gets any further. I'm just going put it out there that the war memorial is on their agenda today. Would NOT be an appropriate event for color.

Just saw her in closer live footage, she definitely looks pregnant even in that coat.

Outside rememberance or an official memorial service, she wouldn't be the first royal to wear color to a war memorial.

But certainly a darker, more somber color, is usually more in place.

I hope it's at least a somber color? I find anything else to be inappropriate. There isn't much I get up in arms about in terms of color, but that's about the one thing that will upset me.

While I agree and prefer somber as well, royals don't. There seems to be a difference between attending a memorial ceremony and visiting a memorial statue. This is the second of the two and doesn't seem to call for the same.
