That pearl diamond tiara would look beautiful on Crown Princess Mary. She needs another substantial tiara other than the ruby one.

Auction of items of the late Comtesse de Paris. The part of the historical tiara was sold 25000 euros. I hope a member of the Orleans family bought it back.

:previous:

You mean the comb tiara that for some reason lost its sides? I imagine it can't really be used as a tiara any more as sadly it looks rather odd. I doubt the present count has the means to buy it back. He has no employment and 5 - soon 6- children to support. I don't think there are many other non-reigning families that lost so much in such a short time without any revolutions to blame.

1) Love this ruby and diamond tiara / convertible necklace. It would be such a useful addition to Queen Mathilde's collection.

2) Great brooch, even though the stones are very small. Mathilde or Mary would really be able to do it justice.

3) I think Mary should buy this bandeau and add it to the bottom of her wedding tiara.

Jewels and heirlooms belonging to the Princess Marie zu Wied, the Dowager Hereditary Duchess of Württemberg go up for auction at Sotheby’s ‘Noble & Private Collections’ Sale in Cologne today.

Thank you for the link.
No offence meant :flowers: but Princess Marie zu Wied is still alive to this day. It's her husband the Hereditary Duke Friedrich of Württemberg who sadly died in a car accident in 2018 though.

And actually they have never been official to referred to as hereditary Duke and hereditary Duchess,

It was probably a typo and the Dowager Princess must be selling off some jewels and heirlooms.

Based on their gala appearances both P Elisabeth and P Ingrid Alexandra could use brooches to fasten their sashes.

A classic pearl cluster brooch would be ideal for P Ingrid Alexandra but this is also a good option https://onlineonly.christies.com/s/...diamond-brooch-256/201748?ldp_breadcrumb=back

This substantial, but not outrageously expensive, diamond brooch is a solid option for P Elisabeth https://onlineonly.christies.com/s/...diamond-brooch-327/201820?ldp_breadcrumb=back

I agree, these would be worthy additions to the jewel boxes of Mathilde, Mary or Mette-Marit, to use and to share with the children.

Spectacular Jewels in the possession of Duke Alexander Eugen and Duchess Sophie of Württemberg, the children of Princess Nadezhda of Bulgaria and Duke Albrecht Eugen of Württemberg, which originate from the Württemberg, Habsburg, Bulgarian, Orléans, Bourbon-Parma, Bourbon-Two Sicilies, and Saxe-Coburg-Gotha Royal Families are among the spectacular Jewels going on Auction at the Sotheby’s Vienna 1900: An Imperial and Royal Collection Sale in Geneva tomorrow!

Some great options in a Dreweatts catalogue for our royal ladies to potentially acquire. They look to be very good value for what they are, reflecting a very soft market for old Victorian era jewellery.

1) Great emerald ring that Mary could potentially use

2) An interesting pair of diamond floral earrings

3) High quality emerald and sapphire rings

4) A great Fleur-de-Lys tiara / necklace that Mary or Mathilde could happily use or add to their collection

5) Some great brooches

I keep seeing lovely amethyst demi-parures for sale and every time I wish the Belgian Royal family would decide to add one to their collection. An earring and necklace demi-parure (like this one https://www.incollect.com/listings/jewelry/necklaces-pendants/victorian-amethyst-parure-339467) in the right shade would look so gorgeous with the purple sash.

You are right, the Belgians do need to get a nice amethyst demi-parure. Personally, I think amethysts probably work best with diamonds, so I hope they get a proper one with a fair smattering of diamonds interspersed.
