I presume Queen Ena had to dispose of all or most of her emeralds when in exile, including her fabulous bandeau.

Queen Ena sold off her Emeralds to finance the wedding of Don Juan Carlos and Princess Sofia of Greece!

:previous: despite the height it still looks small because it's short (horizontally). Beautiful design though, it would look good on Eleonore, let's hope the Belgian would purchase another tiara for their princess.

My thoughts exactly, this could be Princess Eléonore's tiara. It could also be a tiara to loan to future daughters in law.

The enamel and diamond star tiara is quite pretty, but the Swedish vaults are large enough. Estelle won't be in need for new tiaras.

Another one from Sotheby's: https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2023/fine-jewels-6/enamel-and-diamond-tiara-19th-century

Enamel and diamond tiara, 19th century

I wish the stars are lower and closer to the base but it still is a starter lovely tiara, and I would love to see more tiaras with unique materials from the reigning house as well. Maybe for Estelle? and they could replace the stars with their buttons as well.

A option for Princess Isabella or Princess Estelle's 18th birthday tiara. The Belgians has diamond tiaras enough...

That would make a lovely tiara for Princess Eléonore or the Infanta Sofia?

There's never enough diamond tiara.:D

A few other pieces of interesting jewellery that are up for acution:

A lovely pearl choker. Not quite the same quality as those worn by Queen Camilla, but the same general idea.

I think Mary would do justice to this amethyst necklace. She already has earrings to match it.

This is a sapphire and diamond ear clip, but could easily be modified for use by Mathilde or Mary as a brooch.

Lovely brooch, sad story around it though.

The price looks attractive, but its not a very big brooch (length 3.9cm). I susepct any of the Danish, Belgian or Norway royal houses could put it to good use.

It was Formerly the Property of Princess Charlotte Augusta of Wales (1796-1817),I wonder if Leopold gave it to the Princess?

Would be a nice addition to the Belgian jewel chest!

That would be my assumption.

Given Leopold was the first King of the Belgians it would be really lovely to see it in the Belgian Colection and they'd have at least one really historic jewel in the vault.

Quite right.

But even if you were to put the history aside and be dilletantish for one minute, the Belgians should be out there acquiring good brooches that come up for sale at attractive prices. It is a versatile piece, and can be used either as a brooch or as a choker with a few stings of pearls, or pearls and emeralds.

Also the Price tag of between £10,000 and 15,000 is not that expensive and would be a beautiful and historic addition.

Fitting, but terribly sad considering not only Charlotte but the daughter he named for her...

I don't think it's known how Charlotte acquired the piece or that would have been mentioned.

A 19th Century Diamond-Set Tiara

It looks like a combination of Elisabeth's 18th birthday tiara and Japanese scroll tiara. I could see it on Ingrid Alexandra or Isabella.

A Late Victorian Diamond And Aquamarine Necklace-Tiara.

Maybe for Elisabeth or Leonor? Both Belgian and Spanish vault needs more coloured stones tiara and their mothers both have some beautiful aquamarine earrings can pair with.

Both of these are stunning!! Great additions to anyone's collection, but would agree with you about Elisabeth and Leonor.

Either of those would look beautiful on Crown Princess Mary. She already has a great set of aquamarines that would look great with the second one. CP Mary could use another tiara option anyway given that QMII won't share any of hers.
