I was watching the previous Nobel banquets and I saw many youg people wearing white caps. Does anyone know who they are?

They are university students invited to the Nobel banquets, some of them serve as toast masters and so on. In Sweden when a person leaves the "gymnasium" at 18-19 years of age they can wear a white cap as a mark for finishing the gymnasium and that they can go on to university studies. University students often wear the caps at events/festivities that have some connection to their studies.
 
On 8th December 2011 the queen attend the Nobel concert.

Thru a lottery who is a student in a Swedish university and own the cap. More information will be here Nobellotteriet

Finnish channel FST5 (who broadcasts in Swedish) is showing the Nobel banquet live via SVT. The king looks so lonely at the dinner table. Victoria, Daniel and Carl Philip are having lively discussions with the persons sitting next to them and Queen Silvia seems to also be enjoying a conversation. Both people sitting next to the king are turned to the other direction leaving the king looking lonely. Even the people sitting opposite right across the table aren't talking to him. I guess no-one dares to talk to him after the recent events..? I feel sorry for him. Yes, thanks to things he has (supposedly, we have no proof yet) done he is now very unpopular but somehow I can't help but feeling sorry for HM.
 
I just realized why SVT is showing all kinds of interviews etc. just now. Correct me if I'm wrong but was it so that they are not allowed to take pictures or film while the royals and guests are eating? I remember reading somewhere that only between courses and while they are drinking perhaps are they allowed to film the people. Something to do with not taking unflattering pictures of people chomping on a steak etc. :lol:

CP Victoria's dress is beautiful and suits her very well! I wish Madeleine would be here tonight but perhaps next year...?

Well, I only stumbled upon it by accident. I wonder why they haven't advertised it anywhere. Apparently FST5 is showing SVT World programming through them quite a lot these days.

Aftonbladet writes that Victoria drank juice and rubbed gently over her belly while she chatted with other guests. After an hour the staff had to get more juice to Victoria. The royals went to the Prince´s gallery to mingle with the Laureates.
At half past eleven the King, Daniel and Victoria met. The trio stood and talked for a long time. Victoria yawned and it was clear that she wanted to go home. After that the royal family said goodbye to the other guests before they left the City Hall right after 23.45.
Before they went Daniel summarized what he and Victoria seemed to feel:
- We must go home and sleep!

The live broadcast just ended. Funnily (or strangely) enough they chose Metallica's Enter Sandman played by the Finnish band Apocalyptica as background music for the recap clip and ending credits... :D
