The Duchess of Sussex's Maternity Fashion: October 2018 -

Very chic. Love the shoes, and they look very familiar! Loved the pony-tail and the skirt. I'm more meh on the blouse, but I guess it's difficult with a changing bust daily. Overall, this is a look that I love.

BTW, it seems like she's going for a theme for the Endeavor Awards, "black and white chic."

Those heels. Drools. Yes please.

I really dislike this. Why wear separates that try to put a waist where there is currently the opposite of one? Once again, actual maternity clothes would look so much better than this outfit that ends up looking neither here mor there on her belly.

White shirt and black skirt for an evening event? Well no thanks...
The Duchess had her hits and miss but this is her worst i am afraid, the ouftit doesn't suit her pregnant figure and it look like a total mess.
Shoes are to day for is the same from the fashion awards no?

Not my favorite, but it’s OK. It’s not a black tie event. I could do without the shoes.

I don't like the dress at all (is it a dress?) but I love those shoes.

When I saw the first shots, I thought the ensemble was great. Having looked at a few more on the DM site, I can see that it is a badly fitted outfit. I can't believe thousands of pounds would have been spent on an ill-fitting and badly designed skirt!

Not a fan of Meghan's outfit tonight. The shirt looks unironed and the whole look seems a bit untidy for me.

This outfit does not impress me at all and my first thought seeing it was "meh". It just looks too ordinary and doesn't flatter a pregnant woman at all.

She does look nice but ordinary for stepping out for the evening. Her outfit says to me "Move along... nothing much to see here".

The shoes are to die for ! Real jewels ! They give some bling to a strict outfit...

It's a 2 piece ...and it's like Givenchy is trying to do a Caroline Herrera impression but it doesn't work for me. The shirt is just off..it doesn't look well fitted. The skirt from the knees down is great. The knees up is not so great.

The shoes are meh. It's just not her best look.

This would of looked so much better if it was under her breast like a true empire white shirt and then not a skin tight skirt to the knee. A black skirt skimming the body and then the slit/flare detail.

Unfortunately, this reminds me strongly of those dresses and jumpers in the 1980's that had the faux layered look. Instead of an actual blouse, there were sleeves and a collar attached to dress fabric. That's what this looks like to me; that instead of actual separates, a pseudo-blouse was sewn to a black skirt. I think Meghan is far past the point in her pregnancy where this is a flattering look. The shoes are lovely, and Meghan herself is always lovely, but this is a terrible look.

I love the look. :flowers:

Seperates can be just as elegant for an evening event. And are quite in style. Nice mix up from the usual evening gown you'd get from these events. ?

The fit is a bit off though. But with a growing belly, something that may have fit a few days ago, may not today. Even if she wore maternity clothes.

Love the shoes.

A new low, I thought the sequined bathing suit dress was bad! Fits poorly, does nothing for her, and is too casual for the event.

It's like a combination of something you would wear with jeans and a skirt you'd wear out in the evening. Not a fan but I've liked most of her other pregnancy outfits to date.

I LOVE this outfit! Chic, timeless.

Each item is fine to me but would look better partnered with another garment.
The black skirt - with a floaty blouse - maybe sleeveless.
The white shirt - with maternity jeans.

Meghan's hair, makeup and shoes are lovely for the occasion.
Mostly, I enjoy Meghan's maternity fashion. It's stylish and sleek.

Looking good, Meghan.

Frankly it’s a really horrid outfit and really not appropriate for such an event. I genuinely don’t understand how people are saying it’s chic when it’s completely ill fitted.

The white shirt is just off, crinkled and doesn’t fit anywhere. The joining of the top and skirt making Meghan looking a lot bigger than she is and almost squarer. Someone said earlier it’s an outfit for a waistline that currently doesn’t exist and I completely agree.

Her hair pulled back so severely really does nothing for her face, and those shoes are quite hideous.

The fact that it’s another high profile event and she’s chosen to wear black & white and Givenchy is frankly annoying now. Nobody can say it’s because of her measurements any more because they’ve changed. There are far better things to wear out there and I don’t understand why she’s picking Givenchy. It’s such a shame because we know what Meghan can do for “little” brands and I wish she would do it more often at this bigger events. It still baffles me as to wear she’s not wearing specific maternity wear, or frankly not even custom pieces that fit like maternity wear.

It hasn't been a banner week sartorially for the Duchesses, perhaps all the mirrors in the KP residences were out of commission..

My description as 'chic' [based on the first pics] was over hasty.. later images show just how ill fitting this outfit is, so I retract...

Very well put! ?

Re the black skirt/white blouse, I have to say that while I like the idea (It's very Meghan) I think Givenchy failed on the execution. Carolina Herrera is the go to for making this look. Country of origin aside, Herrera would have made this look far more smashing.

I get it that some of you would still be appalled at the white shirt. I am not. :flowers:

I don't have an issue with the white shirt, my issue is the high waisted skirt just does not work with a pregnant belly.

It could of been though..this should of been better thought out, would of been gorgeous if it had been.

If you are gonna imitate C.H. you better get it right IMO.

The outfit is fine but nothing special. I wish she'd worn more statement earrings.

A necklace would of been perfect with that type of open neckline.
