A nice interview.

However, we don't only eat rye-bread here i DK. We eat a lot of it, very true, but also very much white bread in all forms and shapes.
But many have cut down on white bread as it is more fattening. And rye-bread is indeed much better for the digestion.

- Rye-bread is also better for the dog, when she manages to persuade her humans to give her a slice with liver pate.

And this evening Marie received the "Stræberen 2020" award of the organization The Cooperative Merchants for her fight against food waste:

Of more immediate interest to us here on TRF perhaps, is that our Marie's Danish has not reverted from her prolonged stay in France, as could have been expected.
Her pronunciation is just as good as it was before she left for France, nor is her accent more pronounced.

But as has been mentioned before, Marie clearly has a talent for languages.

and probably practices at home with husband and children. Good language learners know the importance of 'use it or lose it'.:flowers:
 
There sure is a lot of rabbit-food on them plates! And apart from a couple of sausages, very little real food. :ermm:

In rural DK we'd look incongruous at it and ask why they have put the table-decorations on our plates! :D

A harvest-fest in Frederiksberg?!? Seating 9.000 people. Have never heard about it to be honest and I have close relatives living in Frederiksberg.
A charming idea, but Frederiksberg is located in downtown Copenhagen (*) and it must be at least 10 km to the nearest wheat-field from there.

(*) Yeah, yeah, those living in Frederiksberg, will indignantly state that they are not a neighborhood in Copenhagen, but a town of their own. But no one outside acknowledge the logic of that or even cares. ?
It's akin to say the area of Mayfair in London, having their own city council, and claiming they are not a part of London, but a town on their own.
It's very confusing and no one outside Frederiksberg understands it. But they love to point it out, should you ever venture into that part of Copenhagen. So be warned. :D
 
It must be freezing because Princess Marie is in boots and it's August!!
 
It's a pretty cool August right now.
Not even 20 degrees C (68 F) in the afternoon today. And quite windy.

So our Marie is dressed sensibly, especially as she had to sit for a while.
 
Where Princess Marie living during her Stay in Denmark ?

Most likely at their apartment at Amalienborg.

But I can imagine our Marie staying with friends if she is just back in DK for basically an extended weekend.
 
Well, there is a lot of focus on wasting food here in DK. Despite all sorts of campaigns, an average family still waste a lot of good food. Not as much as beforehand but still too much.
Not all household have a large dog or an ecological pigfarm nearby who will happily eat food that has reached the expiry date.

So yes, such a focus can only be applauded.

Aaand, it should also help improving J&M's public image a little...

Considering the rising prizes and everybody trying to save money wherever they can these days, this is very relevant.

Apart from the topic always being relevant. No need to let good food go to waste at any time.
