Princess Theodora and Matthew Kumar current events part 1: December 2020 -

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
If he truly wanted to straighten things out, he should be now have taken the required course.
I'm not sure Matthew's law firm FarMar Law Group is still in business. FarMarLawGroup,PC –
From the beginning of his legal problems I googled their firm's address. It was a PO Box at a US Post Office: 14900 Magnolia Blvd, Van Nuys, CA 91403 United States Postal Service · Sherman Oaks, California
I'm not sure they even have a physical law office.
I also found 3 cases against FarMar as defendents for violation of the FDCPA or Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Rosenthal Act. "Both laws aim to protect consumers from abusive, deceptive, or unfair debt collection practices by limiting what debt collectors can do when trying to collect a debt. Both laws prohibit debt collectors from using harassment, threats, false or misleading information, and contacting consumers at inconvenient times."
In one case the plaintiff was awarded $2000 in statutory damages, $9,700 in attorney fees, and $579 in "bill of costs". In other words Matthew's collections firm was sued and ordered to pay costs for committing unfair debt collection practices. This was in Nov 2022. Another one in Oct 2018 both parties agreed to a settlement each paying their own court/attorney costs. Several other similar law suits were dismissed without prejudice. Perhaps FarMar Law (Collections) Group thought brow beating was acceptable practice yet it appears the courts differed. I used PACER to access some of these cases so I can't record them on the forums. Who knows what went wrong. For now Matthew won't be practicing law. He and Theodora looked very happy at their wedding so will look forward to hearing about what's next.

I am going to defend Matthew's law firm. People who turn to law firms to claim debts do so because they have not achieved through agreement, even through judicial means, that the debtor pays. Many debtors use secret techniques to hide their assets, and this is when a person turns to these law firms to find out their true assets and be able to recover the money. These law firms or legal businesses that claim debts always investigate the person's assets, their movements and usually carry out actions such as following the debtor and frustrating any possible business that he is going to do, for example, that he is going to ask for a loan, they informed the entity that this individual has debts.... Many of these actions end up in court, because they violate the client's privacy, consumer regulations...
It is not easy to create a law firm specialized in collecting debts, and succeed, because this can also lead to many claims against you, and this is not beneficial.
Perhaps this may be the explanation why Matthew has not fought for his law license, and in my opinion, has made very little effort to get it back.

All of this could lead us to conclude that it is possible that Matthew has other options for the future.

We really don't know anything about his life, or the life of his family, but at Matthew's wedding we were able to see For the first time, the face of Matthew's father and mother, we did not have images of them before. We do not know the profession of Matthew's father, he could be a businessman, for example, but we do not know anything For all these reasons, it is very difficult to know what Matthew's professional future holds, and this is always based on the hypothesis that he would not want to continue in the legal profession.

Here is the background of Matthew's law firm as defined on his website:
About – FarMarLawGroup,PC
"FarMar Law Group is a Southern California law firm, previously known as the Law Office of Rory W. Clark. The firm changed it’s name in December of 2017 from Law Office of Rory W. CLark to FarMar Law Group, PC.
The firm was founded in 1986 by Rory W. Clark, who retired from the practice of law in 2013. “Our 30-year heritage serving the financial sector will always be part of who we are,” said Matthew J. Kumar, who acquired the firm from Mr. Clark in 2013, after working with him for a decade. “But the firm has evolved, as have the industries we serve, and this name change reflects the modernization that I and my team are bringing to our clients.”
FarMar Law Group will continue its industry-leading practice that focuses on compliant and effective representation of its financial-sector clientele. It is also exploring innovative avenues of service that it can provide to new and existing clients. The firm is working diligently to ensure that the name change does not negatively impact any of its client or consumer relationships, and that the transition is smooth for all involved."

Even though Matthew didn't start the firm he states on the website he worked for the originator Rory W Clark and then in 2013 aquired the firm including a name change. All I can say judging from the cases I was able to bring up on PACER, collections is a rough business on both sides.
