The governor, the chairman of the regional board Maria Frisk, regional director Jane Ydman, medical director Mats Bojestig, infection control doctor Malin Bengnér and event manager Fredric Jonsson told about how the pandemic affected the county, the challenges and lessons that the pandemic brought and how important cooperation between the county's various actors was.
Elmia
At Elmia deputy rescue chief Göran Molin told how the municipalities cooperated during the pandemic. Anders Jingmark from Skärpfabriken and Per Gustafsson from Gislaved Folie described how their operations changed, from making goods in leather and advanced plastic foils to making protective aprons. Elmia's former CEO Lotta Frenssen told about how the exhibition and conference activities were hit hard by the pandemic and how they made their premises available for handling protective equipment, covid testing and vaccination. Anna Gillek from the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise gave an overall account of how the business community in the county has been affected by the pandemic.
Jönköping County Museum
Museum director Johan Gärskog told how the cultural life in the county was affected by the pandemic and how the museum handled the challenges the pandemic brought with it. The king and queen got a guided tour of "Follow John" - an exhibition about John Bauer.
Jönköping University
Rector Agneta Marell told about how the teaching has worked during the pandemic and what problems and challenges the university has faced.
The King, Queen and Governor talked also to the staff of the university.
Råslätts medical center
The operations manager at the County Hospital's infection clinic Maria Palmérus told about the concerns that existed among the staff initially about the pandemic. The staff of the Bra Health Centers told about their experiences from the pandemic where they all returned to the importance of close collaboration.
Hovslätts hembygdspark
The king and queen were told about how the pandemic affected the hospitality industry and association life in the county. Robert Glader from Emilkraften in Eksjö told about the challenges the association faced during the pandemic to support tourism and how they built the Emilleden - a hiking trail between Lönneberga and Mariannelund. Agnetha Karlsson and Anna Eriksson from Tranås municipality told how the municipality created the Children's nature trail in Östanåparken in central Tranås, to attract children to nature and increase knowledge about animals and nature. Anton Halldén, head of the County Administrative Board's fishing unit, spoke about fisheries and water management in the county.
