She's still working on her book "Summer Princess: Winter Queen". :D

This sounds like an advertisment for a Chef.
Now if Kate were to take the job, it would set of a load of rumours about how she got the job, how she's weaving her way into the family etc.
Now I would pay to see Princess Pushy in a pair of marigolds chopping an onion. For her seniors. ;)

have you already looked at the holiday photos at every source like rex, belga, getty...?
aweesomee :))

The Countess of Wessex, in her role as Colonel-in-Chief of Queen Alexandra's
Royal Army Nursing Corps, has presented campaign medals to 60 members
of 205 (Scottish) Field Hospital (Volunteers) in recognition of a four-month
tour of Afghanistan early in 2010 and met members of their families at Cameron
Barracks in Inverness, August 31, 2010.

^ Loved the second photo. lol Nice to see her on duty anyway! I had missed that.;)

Thanks for the links Iceflower.

Is there a different link to the first picture? It's only showing about a quarter of the picture and all I'm seeing are the back two rows of the 205.

Thanks in advance!! :flower:

The above Mail Online story relates to events that occurred in March 1988, over 22 years ago.

Thanks for the links Iceflower.

You're welcome! The tinypic site is sometimes having problems, it often works
again if you try out the links an hour or a day later, some members generally
can't open the links, maybe due to a browser correlation. I've checked the
above posted links and for me they still work..Here's a new one!

On September 10, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, as Patroness of ChildLine attended
a dinner in Devon. ChildLine is a charity which provides a counselling service for
children and young people.

Unfortunately there's not been much coverage on Sophie's latest events,
I've found some articles with very small pictures only.

Besides the above mentioned event of September 10 the Countess of Wessex
as Patron of the National Autistic Society also visited Broomhayes School
and Children's Centre in Bideford and opened a £3million extension of the
building that same day.

On September 21, Sophie also in her role as Patron of the NAS opened a
new school building at Grange Park School, Wrotham, Sevenoaks:

Sophie has been very active lately, as it seems. I bet she does much more 'silent' work than that. She looked very nice and approachable as usual.

Thanks iceflower for the info it is a real shame that her work is not covered and she is quite busy. Thought she looked nice at the dinner the neckline suits her.

You're welcome, bertie5252003! :)

NoorMeansLight, that's surely true. I would say that only 1/4 of the engagements
that are officially announced in the royal calendar are covered in the media..

Prince Edward was at Ascot racecourse today, September 25, 2010:

And he's already back:

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and Sophie, Countess of Wessex spotted
out in Chelsea in London, October 8, 2010. A quite rare pic to see them
out in London, obviously privately - nice! :)

Seems like the "walk two steps behind me" thing.

Samoa at Delhi University (1+2) and at the medal ceremony for the Powerlifting
Bench Press Open Women's Final at JN Sports Complex (3) during day nine of
the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games on October 12, 2010.

I'm sorry for the two gentlemen who had to hold the sunshades..

On October 5, Sophie, Countess of Wessex has visited King's Bruton School
and opened a refurbished Memorial Hall.

Yes those poor fellow holding the umbrellas. Your arms would sure get
tired.
Really do not like seeing that. Seems kind of like a scene from years ago, servants and the ruling class!!

I feel the same way about the poor umbrella guys, haven't they ever heard of an umbrella stand? I just seems to me to be too uppity. IMO

My thought was the same. It was just as hot out there for any human. Hold your own shade or grin and bear it.

Good to see that I wasn't the only one who felt that way..

Hopefully Prince Edward regrets that when getting to see the media coverage
of his journey.. I think it's misunderstood diplomacy if you can't refuse certain offers.

Prince Edward attended the medal ceremony for the Bantam Weight (56kg)
Men Finals Gold Medal Bout at Talkatora Indoor Stadium and watched the
table tennis semi-finalson day ten of the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games
on October 13, 2010.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw these photos.

But what if this is their job? If they get paid for this, it's ok.:) P Edward looked really cool with the hat and sunglasses. Thank you, Iceflower! :flowers:

I'm sure PE knows more about protocol than we might think. When you're a guest in someone else's country, refusing service is an insult. I'd hold an unbrella for him, paid or unpaid!

Just a comment on the men holding the umbrellas for Prince Edward and other VIPs. I have noticed in my travels in India that they have so many people that it's not unusual to see plenty of people available for small jobs like holding an umbrella. Plus the local men were probably more used to being in the heat than any visitor from the UK.
