Mary looks like someone who has enjoyed her and Frederik's "honeymoon days" :) :D

The DRF has on their Facebook shared a measly link to their website:

That's what they've given on their social media from the Crown Princess's event today... As previously written, I am shocked at how little they cover the Crown Prince couple's events. Especially when certain other royal members for each single event are covered with great videos and up to 4 x large clear pictures. And I can see I'm far from the only one with that wonder.

Thanks, Iceflower. :flowers:

yes, the terrible thing about domestic abuse, in whatever form it takes, is that adults are not the only victims. - Children witness it too. And are powerless...

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #24, 2017.
Written by Ulrik Ulriksen.

Recently Mary visited the 20th anniversary of Baglandet = something like the Rear Area in Copenhagen.
Baglandet is a meeting place and counseling center for people, mainly young people, who have been placed away from their families when they were children. Here they are guided in regards to work, education, economy and social relations. The talks their parents would normally have with them. As well as having a place to meet people who are in a similar situation with a similar background.

Mary was supposed to have given a speech, but that was changed in the last minute, because she preferred to instead spend her time talking to the people who use the place.
One of them, Natasha 33, who now works as a pedagogue in a nursery. She gave a speech and afterwards she told BB: "I read out my friend Simone's personal story, because Simone the night before had got the jitters and therefore asked me to do it. I was pretty nervous myself when I were to read Simone's story. During that I had eye contact with both Simone and Crown Princess Mary who was very present. She's very down to earth".

Simone 23, also met Mary. She had been the victim of neglect and abuse and had been placed away from home at age fifteen and she told afterwards: "Crown Princess Mary told me that it was eloquent amd I sensed her presence". - Simone now study nutrition and health.

I will say the only thing that the DF does is have great pictures, Mary looked to me exceptionally nice and a very happy lady. Now I want one of those gorgeous umbrellas with the black top with a flower garden around the bottom. They are so pretty and cute so if there is info out there pls let me know....wonder if she has an extra one laying around. ?

VIDEO: What's happening right here? Mary left the Mayor to talking with a unknown woman
VIDEO: Hvad sker der lige her? Mary lader borgmesteren stå for at tale med ukendt kvinde | Odense | Fyens.dk

Suddenly Crown Princess Mary was obviously caught by something completely different than the Mayor - and she then walked away from the red carpet to reach a totally unknown woman in the crowd who had met up to welcome Mary.

The woman, Bente Olsen, had taken a very special book with her, she wished Mary would have.

- It is Queen Alexandrine's Christmas Book from 1915 with photos of her and Christian X on holidays and such.

- I got the book from a friend who bought it for me at least 20 years ago. For a while I have wanted it to for a while, that it should go back to the royal house, and now there was the chance because I know that Crown Princess Mary is one who can easily come over and talk to people.

- She said she was very pleased to get it. And she said she was looking forward to coming home and showing it to Crown Prince Frederik, says Bente Olsen.

This is why Crown Princess Mary is so popular among the people. And it's such a thing the Danes love. She is far the best in the royal house (and maybe the only one) who really takes the time to greet and meet as many people as possible. Frederik is also excellent with people, but he is a man .. and does not taking the time to greet everyone ?

As Bente Olsen says, she took the book to an event with Mary because she knew that the chanche to deliver it to Mary was almost 100 percent. How much I also love Queen Margrethe I would say delivering the book to her to an official arrangement would be equal to zero :D

Good for her. It seems like something so simple and obvious to do but I've noticed plenty of royals don't bother. The older generation I can understand, those Mary's age and younger not so much. I do think Frederik has gotten much better at these sorts of spontaneous interactions, though.

Off topic, but I've seen the same sort of evolution in style happen with Kate and William. She's always taken the time to actually speak with people and he has become much more like her in style over the past several years.

I think sometimes people just need an example of a different way of doing things put right in front of them.
