Balmoral Castle

That's $189.56 US Dollars or 174.96 Euros. That's very pricey for a tour and tea. In comparison here in New York, the Kykuit Rockefeller Estate charged us last year only $75.00 (59.34 pounds) for the 3-hour grand tour that included the inside home museum and the enormous outside park via bus tour. Kykuit was the home of the guilded age oil millionaires that build the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in NYC to put the billion-dollar art surplus that could not fit in the house, since in the basement museum they have the walls packed with Picasso's and Andy Warhol's. The Rockefeller family still owns the estate and uses one building on the grounds as the Charities and other business headquarters.

So, if anyone visits Balmoral, I hope the expense is worth the money and it becomes open to the public when not in use by the family.
With respect, for a lot of people, visiting a Rockefeller estate and Balmoral are not quite the same thing.

At the end of the day people will spend their money as they wish. This is only the first year, small steps which is wise. Iron out any problems, provide a great experience. Then possibly extend it for next year. If this contributes to keeping the estate running, taking visitors to the area, keeping people in jobs , it is all to the good.

Well said. Its a free world. People can make their own choices.

Arthur Edwards, Royal Photographer for The Sun was the one of the visitor attending the first opening day of Balmoral Castle (time stamp at 6:49, where he described the interior of the Castle). The pictures shown in the video appeared to be from the Sky News Article that carlota has kindly posted above. Photography is probably not allowed inside the Castle.

The scenery of the Balmoral Castle ground was tranquil and beautiful, especially with the luscious trees and crystal clear river flowing down the rocks.

I wonder if there's a visitors shop on the Estate ,I always find myself buying memorabilia and jars of jams from Country House and Castle visits!
