I'd love to see more pictures of the minor Royals and Spencers at the wedding. For the most part all I can find are pictures of the celebrity guests. Very disappointing!

The way Meghan’s friends and family have been hunted and abused by the tabs, it’s perfectly understandable to me that they wouldn’t release a guest list.

Family like Ashleigh Hale who have chosen to remain silent and private throughout all of this likely would not relish the vicious and intrusive lense of the media focused on them.

If they have chosen not to attend or prefered to slip in at the back unannounced, I’m sure Meghan would be more than understanding about it.

Also, Oprah was in the quire because she is a friend of Meghan’s.

As there is limited space in the quire, she can’t include all of those she is close to. I’m sure they understand.

But I don’t really understand how anyone can think they know the inner workings of Meghan’s friendships and who should sit where.

I would think Meghan would know those with whom she is closest to more than we.

On the children and grandchildren of the Kents and Gloucesters not being invited, I guess the practical reason was really lack of space in the Quire and maybe it was considered inappropriate if they were invited and had to seat in the nave with the other guests ?

They are! They have a hunting estate in Bavaria (Schloß Hirschbrunn, that's where Princess Nora married Lord Max Percy) and one near Berlin.

I raised my eyebrows when I saw Priyanka Chopra was not in the Quire (that the thing is called, right? I am not native English speaker, I am not of Church of England or Christian at all, but this was a term I read about).
I mean, Priyanka was so selfishly self-promoting, milking her friendship with Meghan so shamelessly, I would think she will be sitting right next to altar, lol

I think the released pictures were from the luncheon that Queen organized and not the reception? Though I might be wrong here!
I remember pictures of William, Kate and Charles, I think, going to the reception, but nothing from the reception itself. But I might have missed something.

I'd have to argue that Idris looked spectacular. He classes up everything with his presence. And can he can wear a suit. Perfect tailoring. Bespoke? His fiancee was equally stunning.

Was watching CBS and Gayle King was carrying on about Oprah and it got silent except for her. Finally someone said in that awed tone "Idris is here" and the subject changed fast. He was best dressed male.imo.

The best outfit in my eyes was Kitty Spencers, but in opposite to many of you I disliked the dress of Amal Clooney. This woman is absolutely stunning, but no one, I repeat: no one should ever wear yellow


Liked to see Prince Philip in good conditions, was happily surprised about Fergie's and the Middletons invitation - German yellow press made a big story around Fergie were on a kind of "black list".


Initially I didn't notice Doria wearing a nose ring Her face expressions took all my attention. What a nice lady.


My best moment was the face expresson of the little Mulrooney boy when walking through the church's door after Meghan.


I also liked Mr Curry's speech (I was realy afraid about the candles...) and the interesting reactions of the audience. Camilla seemed extremey amused, Kate tried the more or less successfully not to grin, Sir Elton John was very touched.


Oh, and I also liked the York girls. Couldn't decide if they were wearing hats or just hairdos, but the both looked stunning

I'm with that explanation : the space in the Quire. The Gloucesters and Kents had to be, obviously, placed along the Dukes and the Duchesses and it was just not possible to accomodate them properlly in the Quire. As members of the (extended) royal family it was not feasible to place them in the nave so this little "sacrifice" had to me made.
Again it was already the case for the blessing ceremony of Charles and Camilla back in 2005.

You're right Idris looked great. I'm sure the suit was bespoken and he wore it perfectly! His fiancee's outfit however was not to my liking.

Possibly, but I don't see why they could not be placed on the opposite side, if some of Harry's friends were.

The best dressed guests for me were Idris Elba and Kitty Spencer. I would say they were also by far the best looking guests. Just stunning, both of them.
