Four years ago, it was about 400 USD per wave. You paddle in, and whether you ride that wave or not, you pay that amount. Now it's probably much more than that. I've always been fascinated by the place, it seems very cool but also can't help feel that it's wasteful and very much for the elite.

$400.00 per wave??? Wow! And those prices were from 2020. I agree that it would be more expensive in 2024 due to inflation.
Oh well if you have the funds then you can have your fun.

According to what I read in the Portuguese press, Princess Eugenie and her husband also bought a house in Portugal, more specifically in Melides, in a luxury development.
The house that Harry and Meghan would have purchased will be in the Comporta area, a small town in the Alentejo region.
I believe it when I see a photo of the property & them there. Sometimes this celebrity-buzz around a project are a way to sell something that doesn´t sell well. You would be surprised how many luxery apartments in f.e. Amsterdam were 'bought' by either Madonna or Brad Pitt :)

I believe Caroline of Monaco and her family go to Comporta each summer?

Although I find Melides and Portugal wonderful, I am not sure if they are better of there than in California. the sea is ice cold and there tend to be lots of wind on the beach. The food will be much better of course. A big plus in comparison to other beach areas of much of Southern Europe and certainly of the Iberian peninsula would be that properties tend to be secluded and the area is quiet and not ruined by construction.

The Duke of Sussex enjoyed the waves in California and his friends have shared a video on their Instagram account.

When was this filmed, his beard looks different.

Marengo- The Sussexes will likely find the conditions to be somewhat similar but it's less windy. The ocean water along the West Coast of the United Sates is cold as our currents are coming south from Alaska. With Montecito/Santa Barbara being located on our Central Coast, the temps are even cooler. Today's water temps are in the mid sixties so most surfers are advised to use spring wet suits.

My strong feeling is, since this video popped up, that this ranch hosted Harry for his lessons quite some time ago. Meghan apparently bought Harry surfing lessons there for his birthday a few years ago, and my instinct is, seeing the Harry of the video and the Harry of 2024, including his facial hair and scalp, that these images are probably from 2022/23.

That’s interesting. I’ve just watched the clip on instagram on the raimanaworld instagram account and I can see his very large bald patch on the top and back of his head. But I don’t pay too much attention at the speed at which he’s losing his hair.

Meghan, according to reports, bought Harry some surfing lessons at the ranch for his 36th birthday, which was in September 2020.

Logically Harry is far more likely to have used these in the warmer months of the next year or two after that date than to wait four years until late 2024 to use them, and to me Harry’s beard especially looks different to what it usually does now.

And most of the Windsor men unfortunately lose their hair and go bald, including Harry’s father and only brother. That’s genetics at work. At least Harry wasn’t balding in his early twenties.

It might be that he continued with the lessons. Why would he need them I don’t know, he was surfing in UK since forever.

I'm surprised that they released footage that appears to be a couple years old at this point in time.

Maybe he is just taking some refresher classes.

Who knows. I know nothing about surfing, I imagine it’s like the bike, once you know it you’ll never forget, what with it being about coordination. I’ve seen people saying that his surfing is ridiculous, but I don’t know.

Maybe Raimana Van Bastolaer was just scrolling through his camera roll and thought, "Oh hey, I didn't know I have a vid of my bro Harry! Okay will post." :D

Agreed. Me neither, I couldn't care less. It seems to matter to PH, as I understand it he drew attention to the issue of hair loss in his book.

I don't judge people by when they started losing their hair or how much they've lost. That's not important. I prefer to judge a person from their character and behaviour :)
