Love both colours on the Duchess but not together , her hair looks so messy
which is a shame , I'm sorry not keen on no tights either .
I think very few companies in US, if any, still actually require tights. I work for a company located in a very conservative town, even we don't have to policy anymore (our previous CEO wanted women to wear them, but even then it's optional). I honestly can't remember when was the last time I saw anyone in nude tights. I wear black tights in dead of winter when I wear a skirt or dress, but more because I have to wear boots. You anti-bare leg folks need to loosen up....tights are seen less and less even in office settings these days (unless company policy prohibits it but that is going away too). Starting to only be seen at formal events anymore here in the U.S.

Not a fan of the purple, not my favorite color. Would have looked better with black as it would gave toned down the color...
Colors don't have to 'go together' though...this is seen repeated over and over across the decades in fashion.
I like matchy-matchy outfits...but I like to see color blocking like this now and then too.

Commonwealth brands-Canadian.
There are pics of Diana wearing the same mix of colors back in the days. I do not see anything shocking about them

Doesn't mean it looks good.

While the colors are similar the way they are worn is very different, which creates a different vibe.
The left picture is of a red dress and a small purple fabric addition, it’s not a great look color wise but the purple is far smaller and thus the colors don’t compete as with Meghan outfit.
The right picture is a a miss but the white top helps a bit to soften the look. The hat is awful but would have look awesome as an accessory without the jacket on.
In addition: the fabrics used are very different. Meghan looks off because her fabrics are heavier while Diana’s are lighter. The look given is vastly different.
Thus is certainly one way to alienate yourself further.
Hair splitting analysis, but it a free world
She is never going to win with the press...so no point in listening to anything they have to say.

Press or no press, there is a simple issue of supporting businesses and jobs in the country you are supposedly representing.
