The Spanish Royal House is also already on Instagram!

It is not official.

It has been mentioned in a news item in the newspaper El Mundo, but it is not an authorized official account.

I based this article on El Mundo.
I was misled.

Misled by an article in a Spanish newspaper, I believed that this Instagram page was official.
I confirmed through a Spanish journalist with whom I exchanged messages, that this Instagram page is fake.
Spanish Royal House does not have an official Instagram account yet.

I apologize for the mistake.

To be honest it looks real so its there's no real shame in believing it to be real as I would have done so too.

At least we have confirmation that it is not official.

El Mundo has confirmed that it is a matter of time for the Spanish Royal House to open an official Instagram account, as it did with Twitter in 2014, which is managed from the communication department, as will happen with the Instagram account.

In fact they are doing an exhaustive study to make it a success.

We hope that in the coming months the Spanish Royal House will be on Instagram! :flowers:

Casareal is finally being dragged into the 21st Century!

Lets hope its not a hoax like the last one.

I prefer no Insta and Twit because the open sewers (the comment sections) add nothing.

It's about time. With the PoA and I.Sofia quickly approaching 18 it makes sense to be on the platforms their generation use the most.

The Spanish Royal House website has been down for the last few hours. I've been trying to access the site and I can't. I don't know how they can't solve these problems with the site.

Congratulations to Don Jaime Alfonsín Alfonso on his retirement after three decades of service to the Crown and all his years as a lawyer and as a professor of Tax Law at the Autonomous University of Madrid.

Here's more information on his amazing career:

María Dolores Ocaña will be the new head of Queen Letizia's Secretariat, replacing José Manuel Zuleta. There are other important changes in the organization chart of the Royal House.
Emilio Tomé de la Vega, current head of the Coordination and Planning Cabinet, will be replaced by Major General Juan Carlos González Díez. In the coming days, the replacement of Isaías Peral Puebla as head of the Head of Administration, Infrastructure and Services will also be finalized.

The Head of the Secretariat is in charge of organizing the agenda and the content of the events, so the priority would be for her to know the internal functioning of the House and to know all the organizations with which the queen works and what the planned activities are for the next months. It is more of an office job, documentation and organization.

In the development of the events, the head of the secretariat is in the background, those who have the weight of the organization are those in charge of protocol, press and security and those have not changed, and they have years of experience to help her.
Quoting Lula's post in the appropriate thread.
Thanks for explaining, I always assumed the Head of Secretariat is basically the Business Manager of the CEO and of course he or she has to have in depth knowledge of how the House of the King works, what I guess is not comparable with any other organisation in type of staff or flexibility.
Very likely under F&L casareal arrived more and more in the reality of a business, thats what it is at the end of the day. Difficult but interesting job for Senora Ocana.

I think that with Queen Letizia there have been changes in the way the Queen's team works, it is more professional. Queen Letizia separates her institutional work from her private life and that means that each one has clearly assigned tasks.

Sofía's secretaries were in charge of office work, but then they accompanied her and continue to accompany her in private activities. The line between the institutional and the private was much more blurred.

That makes sense. I have been working all my adult life in offices in banking and there has always been a strict line between content work and organisational work. The business managers do the content work and travel with the manager if needed, and usually, after a couple of years, they move on to senior management positions themselves, while the assistants/secretaries, who do the organisational work like diary or travel management, often remain for decades in their positions. Doing private stuff for the manager, like picking up laundry or buying flowers for the wife, what was pretty normal in former times, has almost gone completely out of fashion.
I would be interested to hear how it is working for a King or Queen, but not fancy to do the job myself. They will have to copy with little private time and maximum flexibility, and of course sign confidentiality statements ;)

It maybe a few years off but it will be interesting to see who gets appointed as Secretary to the Princess of Asturias!

Marisa Satrústegui, former collaborator of Queen Sofia and the Infantas Elena and Cristina, dies.
On Tuesday, September 10, he passed away at his home in Madrid when he was about to turn 93.
She was one of Queen Sofia's most trusted people.
She began working at the Zarzuela Palace in 1977.
