I don't think you will get a credible answer to that question any time soon. All I would say is that blue is not unusual colour for the mother of the bride to wear.

I don't think so. Colors of Greece are a stronger blue and a pure white. Her dress has baby blue and the lighter parts IMO are just from a lighter tissue so they are blue very pale.
And pale pastel colours are rexommended for bride's mother outfits. Some rules exist (unfortunately not really often followed ) not to wear black around the bride, neither white ofc and to avoid flashy outfits (colours, prints etc)
