Catherine and her medical team are being realistic - until she is finished her treatment, all her testing is done and shows no signs of cancer, she is not out of the woods.

Her statement has to be one of the most personable statements I have ever seen being released from any royal household. She showed true emotion and I applaud her.

I'm so happy Catherine feels well enough to participate in Trooping tomorrow. I was hopeful that maybe we'd see her on the balcony, but I'm delighted that we'll also get to see her in the carriage with her children.

I also thought her statement was poignant. For someone as active and sporty as Kate, I can't imagine how it must feel to suddenly feel tired and weak on occasion and to have no certainty how she'll feel from day to day. I hope she's over the worst and continues to get stronger as she continues her treatment over the next few months.

As much as I look forward to any public engagements she might do during that time, she definitely deserves to put herself and her health first.

This was such a lovely surprise today, and I'm so happy she feels up to participating in Trooping the Colour. It will reassure people who have been concerned for her to see her out with her family, and that may lesson pressure on her/speculation about her health in the longer term. It's good news all around.

This is the best news, and I especially like that she did a statement beforehand, mentioning the emotional and physical trouble that people who suffer from cancer related issues go through, her included, instead of just appearing picture perfect like she did today (and what is expected of her). Its good to mention the not so perfect side as well, makes her even more likable.

Agreed. It was wonderful to see her today- and looking just the way she always does: immaculately put together. Besides just looking lovely, it's reassuring.

But- it's nice that she released a thoughtful, personal statement in advance about the physical and emotional toll that cancer takes. I think it does make her more likable. I also think it makes her more relatable too for many reasons. It's difficult for any person when they suddenly can't do all the things they want to do, but in particular for a person like Catherine who is so active and loves sports. Slowing down must have been hard.

Catherine manages to be relatable and regal at the same time. It's impressive.

It's great that she's feeling well enough to start participating in public events again. She's been much missed.

I thought that was a pretty muddy patch of ground that Catherine and the others had to navigate when they alighted from the coach. For just a minute, I thought that George would offer his arm, but he didn’t, and Catherine had to tread ever-so-daintily wearing her white heels. She probably wouldn’t want to appear weak, and I’ll bet she has someone to clean her shoes if necessary!

Did anyone pick up on the line, "I'm looking forward to attending The King's Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet."

Not out of the woods? I thought she said months ago that she would be fine.

What does 'out of the woods yet' means? English is not my first language and while I think her statement was great and very moving, I'm a bit confused about that phrase.

Nice to see that the Princess can attend the Trooping. Wish the best for her recovery.

"Out of the woods" means out of trouble. The Princess of Wales saying she will be fine is an expression of hope and positivity. There are always risks associated with chemotherapy as well as once chemo has been completed close follow will be done to make sure the cancer has not returned, typically 5 or more years. So, one can be hopeful but realize they are "not out of the woods yet".

It was lovely to see the Princess of Wales at Trooping, I thought she looked good.

Catherine looked beautiful, but compared to the photo from the court's website OMG. She was always thin but definetily lost more weight, I hope nausea ist not troubling her too much.

Thanks, Lady Daly!

Yes, she looked good and lovely. I was surprised when she confirmed that she will attend the Trooping, so I'm very happy to see her again.

Should Kate have short hair? Her hair are too long.

My mother went through chemo for lung cancer and didn't lose her hair. Not everyone responds to chemo the same way, and there are different types of chemo for different types of cancer.

Anyway, nothing good will come from this line of conversation, so let's change the subject.

Cathrine has been out of her regular engagements for quite some time now. Let’s hope it’s because she can, not because there’s something even more worrisome going on.

Can’t wait for the Wales family to be back to their “regular programming” with all these cancer stuff behind them.

Just saw the new video on X. I almost cried watching it, it was indeed a very tough and difficult time for the Wales this year .
Great video, great message. We can see how close they are with their children.

Wish the best for Catherine!!
