Can someone please define what an A-line dress is?

If you hover over the different types of dresses, it gives a description of that style. Basically a dress that falls to the floor (from a fitted waist) in the shape of an upper case A.
A modified A-line is basically a drop waist, it fits close to the body further then a simple A-line does. They are usually fitted to the hips and then flare out.
