It looks like she recycled thaat purple suit again in 1997. Her style is classic, still very current.

I remember she wore the suit back in 1996 to Washington D.C. she wore it with pearls and and balck and white pumps. This photo looks like it was taken in 97.

Of course!!! Why did I not recognize it? Was the photo you took from Google also from DC? Because that trip was in' 97 not '96, but the Google one cannot be from DC, she is w/o the pearls!

The picture I posted was from an article I found on Google so the date I can't be certain. But judging from her hair style and the accessories she wore, I would say the picture was taken around 1997.

Diana, Princess of Wales wore this outfit in 07/21/1997. She at Northwick Park & St. Mark's Hospital in Harrow, Middlesex, to lay the foundation Stone for the "New Children's Ambulatory Care Centre". Diana's dress is by fashion designer Catherine Walker.

Conran made some truly beautiful things for Diana, particularly that dark plum suit worn in Wales. I don't care for the white suit worn in the early 80s, though. It had no shape. That was the style in suits then, though. I remember those shapeless jackets.

Diana wore this outfit while visiting Italy and was criticized for it by European fashion editors. The Italian editors commented that she looked like a waiter! In fact, several of her outfits on that tour didn't go down well in Europe or the UK with fashionistas. :flowers:

I always thought Prince Harry looked a lot of Princess Diana. If he eyes were more like Diana's he would look exactly like her. I am glad the prince has her beautiful hair. :flowers:
