You think it's a lot of days off? Well you can add the numerous special days when we commemorate something (most people have no idea what they are commemorating by the way). Recently the government tried to cancel a special day and people did demonstrations .
There also the long weekends (from Friday to Tuesday) that we call "bridge", and that we take sometime for the most futile reasons.
Weird country you know...
Oh really? In Italy we also call the long weekends "bridges". There used to be many more int he past, but most religious festivities have been cancelled lately, as they're no longer considered as public holidays.
I got involved in that demostration when I recently came to France...
Speaking of weird countries, dear cousin,we aren't too bad either...
