Trying to identify the exact family relationship between these two 'cousins'. Quite far cousins I assume...
5th cousins with Queen Victoria and Prince Albert as shared ancestors:

True! I was looking for the closest relationship; and through Wilhelm I they are 5th cousins once removed. There is also a line between Leonor and Queen Victoria that includes an additional generation - so another, 5th cousins once removed variation.
It looks good on some guys, but I always thought he looked kind of silly. It seemed like a very typical high-school thing.

I liked his longer hair. He’s rather large in stature physically for a young man his age, so his hair gave him a more boyish appearance. But the buzz cut is also very appropriate for his current setting and I like it as well. He looks very happy! 
Wonderful scenery! Christian looks very well and happy, and I appreciate that he has cut his hair. He needed that after keeping his old hairstyle for about three years! (I do like long hair on males, mainly I suppose because it was ‘In’ when I was young!)
Christian is obviously enjoying himself in East Africa, which is lovely. May he have a great birthday. Wonder whether his friends are still there with him?

Why should he hunt ? He is 19 years old and does not even take part in the annual royal hunt in denmark (yet)

He looks much more refreshing with a shorter hair cut. (Yes that's my biased IMO very few males can pull off longer hair look and not look greasy)

Genealogically speaking there indeed is only a pretty distant relationship, but they *feel* much closer related imo because P.Christian's grandmother's sister is married into the Greek royal family, and P.Leonor's grandmother is from that same Greek Royal family, and these families are actually seen together at gatherings to this day.

As other posters have said, a long hair would not have been practical for a long stay in East Africa. I don't think he will keep his hair short when he is back to Denmark , unless he is in the military of course.

I just looked at the picture of Christian in Africa and on the picture this person published on TikTok saying that he found out where in East Africa he is.
I wouldn't believe that, there are so many areas in East Africa where the scenery is just looking like that. That person who published it on TikTok just wants to be important and show his followers "Look, what I have found out". As long as the exact location is not published, and I hope that will be kept secret, I don't think he is in danger.
They usually have very tight security in those parts of Africa for guests and tourists , for instance if you rent a bigger house for holiday (as we did years ago for family and friends meetings) you always have security in front of the house, day and night. And that's just for normal people. I can only speak for Kenya but I guess it is the same or maybe even more secure in Tanzania.
Hosting a member of an European royal family they will for sure do everything possible to guarantee his security.

It’s also unfortunate because Mary and Frederik have always allowed a decent amount of access to the children when they’re in Denmark. They’ve mixed with the public at events and answered questions from the press since they were small, and I’m sure Christian will do more and more of that once he’s back next year. He probably wants to be as off the radar as possible during this trip.
That said, I’m sure Christian and his parents knew the location would be made public at some point. Maybe they’ve come to an agreement with the Danish press - leave him alone for the duration of the trip in exchange for pictures and an interview when he gets back, or something similar.
