Call me ignorant but i don't get the comments about the veil.
OK is well known that white wedding dress is about virginity...furthermore most of the brides at 1st marriage are not virgins.
I would find strange the white bridal dress not because of the 2nd marriage but most because of the age. For me even as 1st marriage... at 53 is not suitable to wear a white bridal dress.
But what about the vale? Does it habe a more strong meaning ?

King Harald looks tired. All the schedules of the day have changed because of the almost an hour delay at the start of the wedding ceremony. It seems that the King and Queen stayed at the Hotel and didn't go to the Royal Yacht after the wedding ceremony, only the Crown Prince family went there.

No, the large group photo is not a Hello! photo. It is taken by photographer Maja Moan for NTB (The Norwegian News Agency).

Hello! publishes the photo in its article, obviously they have bought it from NTB? Or will there be a row of photo rights?

An old bride of 52 in white and a Veil before her face entered the Church/ Tent between Sheets. The most Ridiculus Wedding I ever saw and will never be seen again. On the group picture on the left Royals and on the right Durek Friends.
I must say that "I am the Boss" suceeded the organisation on a 3 days Wedding and the Security did well their job. To morrow all is over and the new Weds will live in the United States.

"I am the Boss" was clearly not the right person to her job at organizing the wedding. She and the other organizing people couldn't get the people to the wedding tent in time and the wedding was delayed badly. The King of Norway, the bride's old and sick father, had to sit at a car over 40 minutes waiting until they were taken to the wedding tent. And it took a very long time to get the about 300 guests from the wedding tent to the Hotel with the buses they had. And there were many typos at the programs during the three days.

Some guests were taken to the wedding tent very, very late, at the same time when Märtha Louise was coming:

Se og Hør has previously revealed that the wedding was an expensive affair for the guests. At weddings, it is common for the guests to pay for travel and accommodation themselves. While it is customary for the bride and groom and their family to pay for the wedding dinner and drinks.
On Saturday, however, there was by no means a free bar at Hotel Union. At check-in on Friday, the guests were awarded 5 drink vouchers each. These were to make it to both the Havana party on Friday night and to the party after the wedding dinner this evening.

:previous: I doubt they will live full time in the US. Didn't they just purchase a home in Norway? I would think they'll live wherever Durek can get a kidney transplant. Although, all we have to go on is his comment of just receiving dialysis prior to the wedding.

Re: pants not fitting may be related to weight shifting or contour of abdomen ie dialysis, hence big thick cummerbund. I was fascinated with the history of cumberbunds. Cummerbund - Wikipedia

I wish someone would have adjusted the dress of the flower girl on the floor to the right of the group shot. Her dress is half way down her chest!
 
Wow I didn't expect a big train and veil like that, and all of those bridesmaids. I thought it would be a bit more toned down.

Se og Hør wrote at the beginning of August that Durek is said to have purchased a hand-embroidered Norwegian national costume. Which bunad he has chosen to go for is currently not known.

It's a strange combination of outfits imho. He looks a bit "try hard"elegant, modern and classy and she looks a bit old fashioned.

What we got to see was complete dedication to her country / commonwealth , no ego , no me me me . I adore QM11 , she is one of a kind . Queen Sonja is very much in the same mould .

I'm surprised Hello! is paying anything - all those white sheets to hide the bride and groom but then they've published plenty of photos for all the media to use. Very odd.
 
Judging from the pics I have to say, it looks like a very colorful but normal wedding - so it was probably much less of all the negative things that were expected. Was it a "Royal Wedding"? Rather not! Therefore it was a tad too flamboyant, if one trusts the photos... But all in all: Well done!

I love how, in spite of the controversy surrounding the couple, the Norwegian Royal Family have always treated Princess Martha Louise and Durek with love and warmth, and those qualities were on full display this wedding weekend.

I always felt like the Norwegian Royal Family were have always been, for better or worse, more family than royals.

Oh, I get it now -- the M&D stands for "Martha and Durek." I thought it stood for "Mon Dieu."
