Harry clearly has a relationship with Sarah, hence the invitation. I don’t think he knows Mark Philips.

He knows Mark. The man was his Uncle until 1992. And he would have seen him at Zara and Peter's weddings. And possibly at riding events supporting Zara. But knowing and maintaining an actual relationship are another matter. Clearly, from the invites, he has with Victoria and Sarah which was my point.

I didn't think there were any flat-out inappropriate outfits, but I thought Amal Clooney and Kitty Spencer were all: hey everybody! Look at me! I feel that women at weddings need to be careful not to look as if they are trying to upstage the bride.

I have never understood the idea anyone can upstage a bride. That too me is impossible we all know who the bride is and she is the most important woman at the wedding.
In Britain a lot of the guest seem to go all out and really dress up which I think is fun.
Not the same boring outfits for all.

Overall, I believe this was one of the best-dressed guest list of all time! There were very few misses! The one I liked the least was Victoria Beckham: i believe she missed in both Prince William and today's wedding. Hideous outfits and shoes!

I loved the variety of colours in hats and dresses guests wore at this wedding. It's a brave female who wears the particular shade of gold that Amal Clooney wore. And she was able to get away with it!. On many women that colour would have msde them look sallow.

I think Beatrice took the once bitten twice shy approach to her headgear at this wedding and went minimalist. I wasn't overly fond of her dress, though, she looked ready to party at Frogmore!

I liked Cressida Bonas's dress in Aztec colours very much, she looked delicate and pretty. Ditto many of the Suits cast members. However, would it be possible for Victoria Beckham to smile occasionally and not always dress for weddings as if she's going to a funeral?

I noticed that no Bransons were present. Odd considering that Holly was a childhood friend and Richard is a major sponsor of the London Marathon that Harry is involved in every year.

I think maybe one of the reasons she was invited was also because in view of Eugenie's wedding, I think it would have been a softer re-introduction into the folds of the RF today. Otherwise, in the fall (has the date been announced? I forgot!), all eyes and discussions would have been on her, etc. etc. Maybe we'll see her again at other semi-official events over the summer. Just to break the ice (with the media that is...).

I have to take back my previous compliment of Chelsy Davy. From the waist up, she looked great, but when i saw a pic of the full outfit, I just shook my head and said "no". Her skirt was way too short. If her skirt had been double in length, she would have scored a win from me.

I don't believe it has, so all we have to go on is the pictures and video of people arriving / in the church / leaving.



I was a bit disappointed that the focus of the arrivals was so much on the celebrities and not everyone in general. There are so many people who we royal watchers "know" and wanted to see - it isn't all just about Oprah and the Clooneys.

What I particularly liked about Chelsy was that she appeared so joyful for the couple. The shorter dress, I liked mostly for Chelsy's demeanour; she wore it well.
Some guests, while looking gorgeous, seemed dull.

It would be so much better if a guest list was published. I wondered about several members of the extended BRF that I didn't see on the day's TV coverage but have come here and read that others did spot them. Often the TV coverage and commentators lingered on the celebrity component and left others.

I didn't see Harry's great friend Tom (Skip) Inskip for instance, whose wedding in Jamaica Harry and Meghan attended a few months ago. Not a mention in any media source I've looked at.
