Stones instead of pearls
Since Crown Princess Victoria wore one of her necklaces four years ago, the jewelry of Märta Larsson has been popular. The designer relies on handpicked stones from all over the world.
Four years ago, there was her "Victoria Moment". Suddenly, Märta Larsson's name was in many newspapers and magazines, especially in her home country Sweden. Her career, which had only lasted a few months then, then picked up so much speed that the jewelry designer, who was still pregnant at the time, barely followed the production of new necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings.
Meanwhile, Märta Larsson's son Äsom is three and a half years old. The demand for her jewelry has continued to grow, but now she gets along so well that she even had the time to create a collection of silk towels and kimonos. They are printed with stones, which Larsson used for her jewelry. Her first prêt-à-porter collection was presented at the Tuileries showroom in March at Paris Fashion Week.
The momentous "Victoria moment" - of course it had to do with the Swedish Crown Princess. Victoria came to official visit to Germany four years ago. First stop was Hamburg. There, according to tradition, she was welcomed by the city mayor, Olaf Scholz, to the top of the staircase in the Town hall, even though the Crown Princess was traveling on crutches after a ski accident. It was a gnawing for the press, which shone with headlines such as "Royal despite crutches!" And "delight with crutches".
Special mention was always the "chain in XL", which the future Swedish queen wore around her neck: black tourmaline, as big as walnuts. "That was my Victoria moment," says Märta Larsson.

Designer Maxjenny: "Victoria is best at promoting Swedish design"
Maxjenny Forslund grew up with a mother who was fashion designer and father who was a silversmith. Of this, was born a daughter who makes clothes beautiful as jewelery, something that even Crown Princess Victoria discovered.
Maxjenny loves strong colors and gets stuck on the street for her original clothes. Designer Maxjenny Forslund wants to give her customers a unique experience. Even Crown Princess Victoria has worn design of this Swede who lives in Copenhagen.
- I think the crown princess is topnotch and so good at promoting Swedish design. She is so stylish and seems to have a good self-esteem. Should I meet Victoria, I probably would completely mess myself up and become kicked out because I'm so spontaneous, she says with a laugh.
- In Victoria's position, she has eyes on her, it's fun she likes to wear Swedish design, designer Maxjenny Forslund says.

Vardaga updated this photo and story to their Facebook a couple of days ago.

When a person suffers from dementia, the relatives are also affected to a great extent. Thousands of questions arise, no simple answers are found. For Gunilla von Krusenstierna, whose sister lives with Alzheimer's disease, the Alzheimer Race, organized by Vardaga and the Alzheimer Foundation, was a nice experience and a help in the grief.
It was also an experience beyond the usual when she was stopped by a walking Crown princess who wondered what race was going on in Haga Park. Gunilla told about the Alzheimer Race and about her sister and they had a nice conversation about how to be a relative of a person with Alzheimer's. "My sister is very fond of the royal house and getting a picture with Princess Victoria and my personal greeting to her was very important", says Gunilla.

Svensk Damtidning has noticed that Daniel has a new watch. It comes from the new brand Carl Edmond, Daniel's friend Peter "Foppa" Forsberg is one of the owners of Carl Edmond.
Daniel's new watch is square with some vintage vibes and the model is called Granit White Deluxe. It costs 2100 SEK, about 200 euros.
The label Carl Edmond describes itself as a mix of Swedish minimalism and Swiss skill. It was launched last autumn by founder Ali Nouri together with swedish Hollywood Star Joel Kinnaman, and now "Foppa" has now chosen to invest and join as partner with his spouse Nicole Nordin.
Svensk Damtidning guesses that maybe Daniel has got the watch as a present? He and Foppa have been good friends for many years.

From finnish Iltalehti

Princess Victoria is 41 years old - 6 reasons why she is a model for every woman
Crown Princess Victoria is admired by Swedish women - no wonder. A gorgeous forty-year old who also laughs for herself.
Modern, relaxed, with dignity and direct in her opinions. Swedish women want to be like that. It is no wonder, therefore, that Crown Princess Victoria is a model for many women of her age. She represents everything that is important to a modern Swedish woman: equality, integrity and the ability to laugh for herself.
Today, the crown princess is 41 years old and super popular. We found out what makes Victoria so loved and admired, especially among women.
She dares to be open
Victoria was as a child an obligated big sister who cared for her little brother and sister when the parents were away. Victoria was trained for her future role as very young. The future queen succeeded in her studies both at school and later at university. Victoria seemed to be successful in everything she did. When Madeleine, known as a party princess, celebrated and made headlines, Victoria focused on responsibilities. The future queen was in headlines in her twenties when she became ill with eating disorder. Her illness was seen as an indication that the pressures had grown too hard. Later, she spoke of her illness openly and told that she had been given treatment therapy. The princess was thanked for bringing the subject up and showing an example that you must talk of the mental problems.
She laughs for herself
The years have made her more relaxed - at least in public. She is self-confident, radiant and laughs often. There are several video clips of the Crown Princess where she laughs heartily, especially when the formal part of the visit or event is over. Often, Victoria is amused of her own doing and saying.
She shows her feelings
The brilliant wedding revealed to everyone how in love and happy Victoria and Daniel really were. For many ordinary Swedes a common man becoming a prince was initially a shock, but eventually those who suspected had to admit: a couple was made to each other. It is partly due to Daniel that an another, softer side of the crown princess has been seen. In his wedding speech, Daniel revealed that Victoria had written a love letter to him every day when she was away on her long business trip. What a romantic!
She is a mother and she is having a career
In February 2012 Estelle was born and in 2016 little brother Oscar. Now she suffers from the same problem as most of us: how to get enough time to work and family.
- It's really difficult. Especially since my role as a crown princess and my job are important to me. I often feel myself split because I want to reach so many areas of life. Above all, I want to be a good mother and a role model, she said in an interview last summer.
Victoria is a role model for many also because she has admitted she suffers from her high demands. In Sweden, where women's stress and well-being have been spoken about a lot lately, the crown princess's transparency is considered important.
She participates
Victoria is active especially in equality and environmental issues. It is important for her to show an example, participate and get others involved. She loves nature and in 2016 she was named a UN Ambassador for Sustainable Development Goals. The princess has told her that her family recycles a lot and talk about the importance of her own choices to the environment. Victoria has described herself as an outdoor enthusiast, and the whole family is spending a lot of time in nature.
She has an impeccable sense of style
You can't talk about Victoria without mentioning her style. Even though the crown princess is not a fashion princess, her classical, trendy style is well copied. Victoria favors Swedish designers, recycles clothing and has been especially praised for the fact that she also favors clothes from cheap clothing chains.
Prinsessa Victoria on jo 41 vuotta - 6 syytä miksi hän on jokaisen naisen esikuva

Finnish women's magazine Anna had an article about Victoria last week.
The princess's new challenges
At the article among other things
Congratulations dear princess Victoria. On your 41st birthday we would want to give you as a gift more strength, wisdom and courage. You are going to need them, because there are new challenges coming into your life.
How lucky the swedish royal court has been, when they have Victoria. Whatever happens in the royal family, nobody says a bad word about the crown princess. The Swedes think she is genuine and empathic, and her work is widely praised.
People witness a strange effect in Sweden: when the popularity of the royal house decreases, the popularity of Victoria increases. She relates to this responsibly:
- Popularity brings also responsibilities, Victoria has reminded.
The image on Victoria's 40th birthday was delightful, but what next? What are Victoria's threats and possibilities to keep up the attractiveness of the court? The task isn't easy. Victoria must maintain her credibility, but at the same time to be careful, how and where she speaks out. Victoria has been active in environmental issues. A couple of weeks ago she collected plastic waste on a beach with a school class and set a good example.
Good and human stories have also their challenges: are they interesting enough? How many are excited when Victoria hikes in every province in Sweden, because she wants to get to know the nature in Sweden. The media follows every hike.

Still as happy for this picture From last spring when I left our fairy tales to Prince Daniel. In my dream, he and the children read about cool queen Maggan in the evenings, and Queen Kristina, who was only 6 years old when she became queen! An ordinary princess
Sweden is already expecting Victoria to become the queen. The beloved crown princess is a life ring for the monarchy, whose popularity the king has unsettled by messing around.
The article tells among other things that Victoria is wonderfully ordinary, somebody thought too ordinary, when she fell in love with Daniel and married him. Afterwards it can be seen that it was a right choice and has not decreased the popularity of the crown princess.
King Carl Gustaf's good speech after the tsunami catastrophe was well received by the Swedes and the decrease of the of the popularity of the monarchy stopped for two years. But then in 2010 came the scandal with the book "Den motvilliga monarken" (The reluctant monarch). And the king's behaviour was seen as totally unacceptable. The popularity of the king decreased and it hasn't stopped after that.
The king highlights the remoteness connected with his position. He is a member of the generation, who thinks that you should not talk about your feelings publicly. Victoria on the other hand has shown her vulnerable side by talking about her dyslexia and about how she has felt that her mission is burdensome sometimes. Victoria chooses skillfully work events, which support with a good way an image of common and modern royal. She skis with school children from fourth grade, goes to a fish factory and shakes hands with Pepper robot. All this is important, when it is knwon, that the popularity of the monarchy is the lowest among the young people. However, Victoria has managed to increase this popularity. Victoria's good eye for PR was well noticed when she delivered the Gay of the Year Award in 2013. It differed from the court's normal work, and was widely praised in social media.
The fact that Victoria's popularity is directly away from her father makes the dynamism interesting. According to a survey conducted by Demoskop to Expressen, a year ago, three out of five Swedes believe that Victoria represents Sweden the best. Only 19 % thinks king Carl Gustaf represents Sweden best.
Victoria is considered to a person people can easily identify themselves with and as authentic, a good type. Even the opponents of the monarchy support her.
The women in Sweden are a little more royalist than men and older people more royalist than younger. The well educated are a little more willing to relinquish the monarchy as the workers, but the differences are small.
One trend is clear: the popularity of the king decreases and the popularity of Victoria increases.

Gudrun Sjödén: Great that Victoria wears swedish design

Svensk Damtidning has been in contact with designer queen Gudrun Sjödén.
For over 40 years, Gudrun Sjödén has created colorful and environmentally friendly clothing for women. Now she is up to date with a new exciting exhibition that is featured at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis, USA. It will be shown from 26 July to 28 October.
- The exhibition about my universe will open new doors to the future of the giant American market and the whole universe, says Gudrun Sjödén.
Gudrun is one of Scandinavia's most successful designers and she has customers all over the world.
Her international successes have been praised, also by King Carl Gustaf who gave her a medal in 2007.
- It was incredibly honorable. The medal impresses greatly abroad, including in the United States, she tells.
Gudrun Sjödén's design has been born by several Swedish celebrities, but also by royalty. Among others, Crown Princess Victoria.
- The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel participated in a design trip to Estonia, where we had an exhibition at a museum. We had made a collection inspired by their island Muhu. The Crown Princess appreciates Swedish design and I think that is great.

Finnish family magazine Seura had two weeks ago an article about Victoria and Estelle
At the article among other things:

Adored figurehead and loving mother
Crown princess Victoria is more popular than ever. One of the her main tasks is to raise her heir to the throne, princess Estelle, who will follow in her mother's footsteps in many things.
Sincere, hard-working, genuine, cordial ... Many praising words are used when people talk about crown princess Victoria. Victoria has charmed people in Sweden and abroad. At the same time as the popularity of the royal house decreases, Victoria's popularity increases. Victoria is able to be both a careerwoman, who familiarizes herself seriously on her duties, and immanent mother. The people see her as a perfect figurehead of the country. Every year on July 14, many Swedes arrive to Solliden to congratulate her. A smiling Estelle helped her mother to carry the gifts Victoria got. The little princess, second in the line of succession, will follow in the future in her mother's footsteps in many things.
Victoria's way to a mother of a sweet family and an idol of the Swedes has not been easy. In the TV4 document last year Victoria spoke openly of her difficulties. In addition to dyslexia, she has also suffered from face blindness. Victoria had to also fight for her love.
Victoria has often spoken about the importance of balance. She has had to balance between the role of the crown princess and the dreams of private life since she was young. Now everyday life is characterized by busy years with small children. On the other hand, home and family are the things which bring happiness and peace of mind for Victoria. She has stressed that she wants to be more present than her own parents were. Victoria spoke openly of her dreams of having own children.
The whole Sweden went crazy with the little princess when Estelle was born. What kind of life it will be for Estelle? What kind of restrictions the position as the second in line of succession already brings for her? Estelle was born at the Karolinska University Hospital, as many other Swedes. The parents have tried to guarantee as normal childhood as possible for Estelle. Despite her down-to-earth parents, Estelle's life differs in many ways from the ordinary Swedish six-year-old's everyday life. Like Victoria, Estelle has been trained as a queen since childhood. "She will go through many stages of her life, and I believe that unlimited love and endless hugs are a good foundation", Victoria said in TV4 document. Estelle has been with her mother at official events since she was a baby. Victoria has described her daughter as a social and curious girl who thinks it's fun to meet new people. These features will undoubtedly help Estelle in the future. Whatever Estelle does when she grows up, numerous people follow her. She is never just one student among the others. While Victoria was at school, many parents tried to get their children to the same school. They believed that if their children were a friend of a princess, it would create good contacts in the future. It will be the same for Estelle.
Estelle can enjoy her student life and choose interesting school subjects. However, everything is aiming for the day when she is crowned as a queen. Victoria made the way easier to Estelle when she married a gym entrepreneur instead of a royal. That is why Estelle will have it easier to choose her spouse as her mother. Victoria and Estelle are united by the fact that their lives are financially secure and in many ways privileged. On the reverse side, the life of a heir to the throne is also largely predetermined in advance.
Victoria has said she has grown to the role as a future queen since her childhood. "I have lived my whole life in serving Sweden. This may sound pretentious, but that's how I really feel", Victoria said at TT's interview. We will see if Estelle takes her role as calmly and with big heart.
In addition to the personality traits, Estelle and Victoria’s looks are much the same. The magazines publish Estelle and Victoria's childhood pictures side by side and write "they are like two peas in a pod". In Estelle's gentle glance and mischievious smile there is a lot we already know.
It would be a lottery win for Sweden, if Estelle became as popular as Victoria. Many signs suggest that this is exactly how it will happen. And can Estelle be more popular than her mother? Now it is hard to imagine that popular Victoria would be shadowed by her children, but it happened to Silvia when her children were growing up. Maybe after 20 years Estelle is the biggest star in Sweden.

Power-mother and power-businesswoman crown princess Victoria
We live in a time when a woman should have a career, be the world's best mom, wife, work out and even have a home that's tip-top. As a royal one, you usually get help with the latter, but as a future regent the press is extra big on what you do and how the public's eyes are constantly looking on you.
In TV4's "Victoria 40" the Crown Princess told how she balances the role of crown princess with her life as a mother:
- Being outdoors is a key to me. There is something that charges my batteries and what I need. I'm not an indoor person. I need to get out and feel that I breathe a little.
It is no small role the Crown Princess has on her shoulders. She is Sweden's future queen and she takes her role in all seriousness.
- I believe in this, and I really want to do what I can to contribute to Sweden. What I can do is highlight things, and I can show Sweden, said the crown princess in "Year with the Royal Family" last year.
The crown princess is most passionate about environment, children and health and in a smart way she has put together all these pieces of puzzle in her commitment.
She was appointed by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as an ambassador to the UN Global Sustainable Development Goals.
Victoria has chosen to focus on issues related to water and health. When the crown princess does something she does it with heart and to the full. She has visited Japan twice. Last year to deepen more in her work on sustainability, marine and fisheries issues. In September she attended a meeting of ten of the world's largest seafood companies. The aim was to further develop global cooperation on sustainable seas.
Now Victoria is in New York participating in meetings in the UN Headquarters regarding the climate targets in 2030.
In terms of health, Victoria cares very much that everyone should be involved, the wallet should not control if one can move or not. When the Crown Princess turned 40, she wanted in some way make a difference and came up with the idea of hiking through Sweden's 25 provinces. The Crown Princess wants to show that forests and nature are available and free to all of us!
Victoria also reveals that we all have a responsibility to take care of Sweden, for example, not to waste garbage in our forests.
- Today, people all over Sweden are out and pick up litter. And around the world, millions of people participate in the World Cleanup Day. Amazingly good! At the same time, we know that the solution to the problem is not to pick up litter. But to quit littering, said Victoria on Keep Sweden Tidy Day.
As said, the Crown Princess takes her role in the utmost seriousness, with great responsibility and respect. Think what a role model she is for her children. Estelle, who herself one day will be Queen, to show her how she thanks to her title, can contribute to a change and help others. That you can be a businesswoman and mom at the same time. That both Estelle and Oscar see that both men and women can be successful in their jobs while being a good parent. One does not need to rule out the other. It is still so that in 2018 it is not entirely acceptable for women to make a career while being a good mom.
As a mom, we see Victoria as hugging, supportive, accessible and pedagogic.
- Crown Princess Victoria is incredibly engaged and so present with the children. Despite her role and responsibility as a future queen, she is always available in some way for Estelle and Oscar, says a source.
So thank you Crown Princess Victoria for being the role model you are as a committed mom and professional woman!

Victoria and Estelle have been on a Stockholm tour with M/S Estelle, an amphibious bus.

Estelle and mother Victoria went to the bus - on the water

All parents know how important it can be to get to experience something special with one child at a time. And when Victoria and Estelle do something together it will be gladly something adventurous. They chose to go to a tour of Scandinavia's only amphibious bus - a bus that runs straight down into the water and changes to the boat.
Many gaped enough of surprise when they saw the bus with Crown Princess Victoria and Estelle running straight to the water in Djurgårdsbrunnsviken.
So they chose the sightseeing tour in Stockholm with amphibious bus that goes on both land and water. Amphibious bus M/S Estelle which is named after Princess Estelle, is Scandinavia's only one of its kind and therefore tourist boat and bus in the same vehicle.
It was mother Victoria who booked herself and Princess Estelle under the names "Mr. and Mrs. Andersson" in order not to arouse excitement. During the 75 minute journey they got to go on a guided tour along the streets of Stockholm and together with other tourists hear interesting facts about famous people of Stockholm: Avicii, Lill-Babs and ABBA members.
With large shark teeth on the outside the ten-ton vehicle causes both resurrection and curiosity where it rolls through the streets with Swedish music through the speakers. Until it comes to Villa Källhagen in Royal Djurgården. Because then it rolls heavily bumping, the guests delighted screaming, down the reinforced beach and serves as a boat instead.
There waits a boat ride both past celebrity yachts in the Royal Motor Yacht Club into Djurgårdsbrunnsviken. The tour goes past the Gröna Lund, while the captain and entertaining sailor sing with the "Stockholm in my heart" before pointing out where the warship Vasa sank.
At the center of the boat, you can also open a door so the prospective can take a swim or splash with her feet if the mood takes you. After a boat trip among waving, yelling and big smile second boater takes the amphibious bus shaking up to the land again with spy melodies of James Bond.

As I often say it's nice that we get to hear about these outings without intrusive photos. The Swedish paparazzi and general public seem to be one of the kindest towards their royals IMO. It's great that the family can walk about Stockholm like any regular family almost unnoticed.

Crown Princess's nice surprise
When life gives a heavy misfortune, it's important to find people who inspire one and give hope to fight. For the a young woman in wheelchair, Ebba Einarsson, Crown Princess Victoria is such a person.
Ebba was elite rider, until that day she woke up paralyzed due to a bleeding in her back. Ebba's dream of racing in the Olympic Games melted, but as part of the "Sofia's angels" (Sofias änglar) television program, she still went there to meet the crown princess.
- Many people want to meet the Crown Princess, and in this case, the Crown Princess had asked to meet us, said Johan from Sofia's angels in the program.
18-year-old Ebba Einarsson was elite rider with several medals in the row, and a bright future in Swedish sport in sight. But over a night everything changed when Ebba got a bleeding in the back.
In just a few hours, her life turned upside down, when 18-year-old Ebba got paralyzed from her waist down.
In a section of "Sofia's angels", Ebba and her family were helped at home. But besides that, Crown Princess Victoria had a finger in the game for a surprise.
Ebba received a spectator ticket for this year's Paralympics in Pyeongchang, where she met the Crown Princess in place, which gave her hope and inspiration.
- Either I can only lay down and just be, or I can take out and spread inspiration and motivation to others, says Ebba Einarsson in the program.

There is no doubt that the phenomenon of fika (coffee break) is close to the hearts of Swedes. But who is really the best fika company? On behalf of Circle K, one of Sweden's largest retailers, Novus has conducted a survey of which Swedish celebrity the Swedes prefer to have a coffee with. The answer - the popular author and criminologist Leif GW Persson.
In the survey, more than 1,000 people have answered the question of what celebrity they would like to have a cup of coffee. The result shows that Leif GW Persson is the favorite (20%) followed by Crown Princess Victoria (18%) and handball player and debator Linnéa Claeson (7%).
The survey also shows that internationally renowned Swedes are not as interesting company as the celebrities that are primarily active in Sweden. Only four percent want to have coffee break with the football star Zlatan Ibrahimovic and only two percent with the artist Zara Larsson.
Noteworthy is that 18 per cent of the Swedish people do not want to have coffee with a celebrity at all.
About the survey
The survey was conducted by Novus on behalf of Circle K during 13-19 September 2018. A total of 1054 web interviews were conducted in Novus's randomly recruited panel among a representative selection of persons 18-79 years old.

Whether it is to get to know their neighbors in the surroundings or to encounter new and old friends up here. In the week of the sister company @ storhogna.m, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel and Norwegian royal family came to visit! Lovely regular customers Mimmi and Helen Lundgren were in place and networked You never know who you can encounter here!

At Stoppa pressarna

Victoria's secret training with princess Estelle
Estelle goes on training with Victoria.
Stoppa pressarna can now exclusively reveal what the princess does on Sunday afternoons.
She and her mother have days together with the focus on movement.
The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences (GIH) at the Stockholm Stadium received a celebrity visit on Sunday afternoon.
Crown Princess Victoria came there with small Prince Oscar and Princess Estelle.
Estelle had a lot of spring in her legs when she was going to train. Victoria strolled relaxed in the company of little Oscar.
Several toddlers were in place with their children. There was football training for five-year-olds, and Victoria greeted gladly and politely the surprised parents who noticed the Crown Princess.
Victoria was casually dressed and really looked like any sporting parent, a bit more elegant and, moreover, with two Säpo guards with her.
Princess Estelle had changed clothes and ready for training. You could see that she was stoked.
Estelle also has a nice company in her training group, on previous
Sundays, the football parents outside the School have seen hockey legend Mats Sundin with his daughter.

The family has been on this autumn holiday week (there has been autumn holiday in schools in Stockholm) in Brazil. From Facebook and Instagram of the Consulate General of Sweden in São Paulo:

Daniel has work event in Sweden tomorrow.
Queen Silvia attends at Dementia in Focus symposium and the opening of Casa Rehabitar in São Paulo on 8th November.

Expressen's royal expert Karin Lennmor at her chronicle today:

Crown Princess Victoria is already our Queen
What has happened? And when did it happen?
I almost choked my morning coffee last week when I read Dagens Nyheter. The entire front page was adorned by a photo of our crown princess and was followed by a 12-page interview (!) with her on the theme of environment, sustainability and her own favorite subject water.
Respect!
Never before a Swedish royal has gained this space in Sweden's biggest morning newspaper in such a serious way. Suddenly Victoria became an important opinion-former.
Repeatedly we see the Crown Princess in such situations.
It has been an unusually hectic autumn for Victoria.
She has been in New York and the United Nations. She moves completely free and comfortable with the world's leaders and seems almost to be the best mate with Secretary General António Guterres.
Victoria and Daniel have been in Jordan. Although the protocol says that a Crown Princess can not make a state visit, it was just what it was!
Oh my, what "statesmanship" she showed.
Victoria visited refugee camps and couldn't keep her feelings and tears back when she met young children in the camp. This dare to show feelings, it is also proof of self-esteem and power; being able to cry - or to be able to joke and laugh at herself - aren't they excellent attributes of a leader? Victoria has it in an obvious way!
Victoria is smart, well prepared, well dressed and she's super confident on her own!
I think this whole change came in connection with her 40th anniversary.
Victoria is in the middle of life, she is mature now and has a great platform, she feels safe, secure and happy with her family. You can see she's doing well!
The fact that Victoria has evolved into this "power-woman" is certainly also partly because of the network she has. Her Marshal of the court Karolin A Johansson and Press Director Margareta Thorgren. And the big and important circle of her own friends! Victoria bounces ideas and discusses with them, she catches up what these women say and often takes it to action.
Mother Silvia has always been a role model for her daughter and is also the person Victoria often discusses and asks for advice.
Daddy, then, is he not in the picture? Of course, he does, the King is, for example, the one who generated Victoria's major and important environmental interests.
But when it comes to standing in the spotlight, giving speech, getting respect from one's actions, being a statesman - yes, then his daughter is already miles ahead of him!
This maturity that we notice at Crown Princess Victoria has of course also led to the question: shouldn't she take over as a regent now? She is definitely ready.
But we'll have to wait ... The king has no plans to leave it to his daughter.
- The Bernadottes don't abdicate, the king usually says.
Queen Silvia has said you have to give Victoria these years with young children and family.
And actually - does it matter? It doesn't matter if it's until 2030 or 2040 before Victoria succeeds her dad.
She is already our Queen.
KARIN LENNMOR_ Victoria är ju redan vår drottning

Margareta Thorgren about the family's trip to Sao Paulo:
- It was a completely private trip. Both children were with them.

I don't agree with that last sentiment. It certainly does matter at what age Victoria takes over. If she is over 60 (which she turn 63 in in 2040) she will not be looked upon as favorably as she is now. At that point Estelle is turning 28 and all attention will be going towards her (although she still might be seen as slightly too young to take over).

For everybody's sake I hope that the Scandinavian monarchies will introduce the idea of abdication (even the Japanese emperor is going along) at some point as imo taking over at retirement age is not healthy. It's wonderful for crown princely families to not have that responsibility when their children are very young but at some point (when they are in their forties or early fifties - depending on among other things the age of the children and the current sovereign) it's time to take over from the elder generation.

When the average Swedish woman has a life expectancy of 84, there is excellent reason to expect that health of the physically active crown princess will not have seriously deteriorated at 63. To allow the probability that ageism will reduce her favorability rating (albeit there are elderly monarchs who score high in favorability) to dictate her choices would be equivalent to allowing the possible ramifications of sexism to deter her from taking the throne.

Victoria has sent a letter and some honey from Haga Palace to a boy

"Not every day son receives package and letter from the Royal Palace:

Hello Lucas,
H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria has asked me to write to you and thank you for the very nice letter she received from you where you describe how you went to a bee-keeper course and which raised an interest in you to continue developing the beekeeping at the Archipelago islands. Bees are extremely important for us to protect, so the Crown Princess wants to encourage you to continue your good work. The Crown Princess couple have bees at Haga and we send you a pair of jars.
The Crown Princess thought it was very exciting to read about all your projects and how you engage yourselves in improving the environment in many ways and keeping the archipelago alive.
With kind regards

Why would a 'completely private trip' include a visit to and facebook posts from the Consulate Generale? Does the Consulate post pictures of all Swedes on holiday in Brazil :whistling:

Nonetheless, it's great that the family spend some time in the home country of Victoria's grandmother!

Daniel was today with his friends in Kalmar, at Guldfågeln Arena, where his favourite team AIK played a football match against Kalmar FF. AIK won 1-0, and with that it was clear that AIK are the Swedish Champions in 2018. Last time AIK won the championship in 2009.

Maybe Daniel, Victoria and the children spent the Father's Day weekend in Solliden?

They were in Borgholm shopping with the kids yesterday so I think it is likely.

Last Sunday, when Daniel was in Kalmar at the football match and saw his favourite AIK became the Swedish Champions, he flew back to Stockholm at "the Golden Flight" with AIK. Short video from AIK Facebook.

Pär Holmgren was prized as The Environmental Hero of the Year by king Carl Gustaf on 10th October. He is a meteorologist, lecturer and author and works as a specialist at The Länsförsäkringar Alliance.
Holmgren was interviewed by Expressen and asked:
What kind of impression you have got about Crown Princess Victoria's environmental commitment?
- That her commitment is so genuine, it really comes from inside her. The Crown Princess is very interested and curious and can very much about these questions. Last time we spoke, we thanked each other for the commitment we both have.

Svensk Damtidning interviewed fashion designer Lars Wallin, and at the interview they asked from him also:
How was it at the first time when you were going to design a dress to Victoria, did you go to the Palace?
- The Crown Princess came actually to me! I should sew a Nobel dress and then it was the first time I would sew something to her and there was a hullabaloo with the visit. Staff from the court and from SÄPO came to my place before, I got instructions about how I should address her and some more. I was very nervous but as soon as Victoria came, it flew off me. She was so relaxed and natural that I totally forgot what the court said to me ... I said "Du" to her so many times that I had to apologize, but she just laughed!
How does it feel to see a royal person wearing your desings?
- It is magical! The feeling to know that the photo will go to history books is fantastic and it is a great honor to get to dress our stylish princesses.
Have you always been a royalist?
- Yes, I have. There is magic which I like about, many traditions which are kept alive thanks to the royal family. They are doing a great job.

Kungliga Magasinet published a special issue due to queen Silvia's 75 birthday. The magazine has a large interview queen Silvia, made by the editor-in-chief Roger Lundgren in Solliden in the summer.

From the interview, queen Silvia speaks about Victoria:

Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Madeleine have all found love and formed their own families. The three siblings are close to each other and have always been a support to each other in the unique life situation they share. The greatest focus from the surroundings has always been on Crown Princess Victoria. One day, she is the one who will take over the business and her popularity is huge. She has always been supported by two loving parents who have carefully demonstrated what opportunities there are in the role of a Crown Princess.
- It has been important for me and the king that the Crown Princess has received a good and solid education and that she has learned tolerance and to respect other people. But we have also wanted her to find her own heart issues, because they are formed by a person's own character. It's wonderful to see that Victoria is going her own way, but that's nevertheless a way we basically have hoped she would choose. It is also wonderful to see how loved and respected she is with so many people. For example, I'm thinking of her birthday. She receives people's love in a natural and personal way and is happy to talk to all children. Sometimes it's almost like they were old friends and I think even the kids feel it like that. I get very touched by it.

Daniel, Estelle and Oscar were last Saturday at singer Carola's Christmas concert at Träladan near Steninge Castle at Sigtuna Christmas Fair.

Carola tells at her Instagram about her Christmas concerts on Saturday:
"And then we got the honor of Prince Daniel and Princess Estelle & Prince Oscar visiting the concert yesterday too! Very fun."
https://www.instagram.com/p/BqniGzDBd7n/

And Hänt Magazine has asked from the court, why Victoria wasn't with at the concert. Press officer Ulrika Näsholm wrote to Hänt:
"Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar attended Carola's Christmas concert at Steninge Castle on Saturday, November 24th. The Crown Princess had another commitment and unfortunately no opportunity to attend the Christmas concert".
Hovets besked om Victoria_ Därför saknades hon vid familjens sida _ Hänt.se

Carola is one of Daniel's favourite artists. At Daniel's bachelor party his friends took him to the studio to record a song with Carola. He and Carola sang "Främling" with the friends as a choir. Carola performed also at Victoria and Daniel's wedding dinner party.

Still about the Christmas concert

Today Carola shared at her Instagram photos of Daniel, Estelle and Oscar backstage after her concert.

"Then came my 'singing partner' Prince Daniel with the kids on Saturday! So happy. We sang namely in the studio together on the prince's bachelor party, and Prince Daniel reminded Princess Estelle of it when we saw backstage! Hi hi So cozy that all 3 wanted to see both Trälådan in beautiful Steninge and go to the concert. Little Prince Oscar was also with
'My' kids: Zoe, Elvira & Viola who are singing on stage became a bit extra nervous. I felt grateful, happy, honored and humbly proud to have them in the audience. Cheer! Now I have an entire year to invite the entire royal family with children and grandchildren when we know that warmth and everything works so well. Hurray!"

Zoe is Carola's daughter whom she adopted from South Africa.
