Radio Sweden P4 Kalmar reports that an employee of the Royal Court has been threatened on the King's hunting grounds on Öland last weekend.
The Police were called after an elderly man allegedly threatened a person who, according to information from the police, is employed at the Royal Court. The employee was part of a hunting team that was there to hunt on the King's land. The older man was not part of the hunting team. The threats were of a verbal nature and the police have held an inquiry into the matter. An investigation is now underway to clarify what happened.

Was the former staffer Ebba von Mecklenburg a descendant of Mecklenburg royal family or is it just a similar name?

Ebba is indeed a von Mecklenburg in her own right (and not by marriage) and is a descendant of a baronial branch of the House of Mecklenburg
Ebba is descended from the House of Mecklenburg through Karl Ludwig (1694-1752) who was the illegitimate son of Duke Friedrich Wilhelm 1 of Mecklenburg-Schwerin and his mistress Sophie Magdalene von Plüskow. Carl Ludwig was ennobled in 1742 under the name of von Mecklenburg. Two of his equally illegitimate half-sisters became mistresses of their uncle, the Duke Karl Leopold of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, and had several children by him.

Last week King Carl XVI Gustaf appointed the stone oven bakery Fabrique as Purveyor to the Royal Court.
- We are very happy, of course. It is an honorary appointment, says co-owner Charlotta Zetterström.
The message from the Purveyors to the Royal Court Association came last week.
- We read it over and over again. It was so much fun. And so it was in connection with cinnamon bun day and the weather was nice, says Charlotta Zetterström.
All employees are happy about this. It is a nice confirmation of what they do that it is good.
Holders of royal warrants can indicate this with the Greater Coat of Arms combined with the text ‘Purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden’. Fabrique will do that. They plan to put up the coat of arms on all shop windows.
