Relation to Spain and Denmark

Do the Greek Crown Prince/Princess and family ever spend much time in Denmark ,they rarely visit Spain.

Yes, they come for family events. And are on occasion seen on private visits.
But the connections goes back to the childhood where the Danish and Greek cousins met as children every year in Denmark and as such developed a bond.

On the other hand, at least Mary (and we must assume Frederik as well) seems to have developed a good friendship with certainly King Felipe. Mary has visited the Spanish CP-couple (when they were the CP-couple that is) privately. - I don't recall having seen Mary in what can be called "a friendship-like situation" with Queen Letizia though, but I have no reason to think they are not only friendly terms.

I think that the relationship between Crown Prince Pavlos and King Felipe is, today, quite distant. The prince did not attend the birthday of Queen Sofia, she is his aunt. I think that this is by their wives,Letizia and Marie Chantal, they are totally different, I think they have never made a friendship and this is the consequence of that distancing, but also their lives. The family of Prince Paul and King Felipe never coincide in summer, in winter ..:verysad::verysad::verysad:

Pavlos and Felipe were roommates at Georgetown, were they not ? I would assume that should have made them quite close.

Claims that Felipe grew distant from his cousins because of Letizia seem to fit the tabloid narrative of Letizia as some kind of villain who ruined Felipe's life. Personally I don't buy it. In the specific case of Pavlos, it may be simply that he and Felipe are now on very different paths in life.

I mean, Felipe is a busy Head of State dealing with several complicated issues at home and the head of a Royal House with few adult working members, which increases the burden on him too. On the other hand, Pavlos is nowadays mostly a carefree jet-setter/socialite.

Exactly we also never see any of Pavlos/Marie Chantal or their children at Zarzuela or at the Marivent.

No, forgive if I have not expressed myself correctly. I say that MC- Letizia are differents (I do not say it in a negative sense, it is reality, it is obvious MC, it has a concept of life based on luxury, she likes to expose her life on social networks, she prefers the jet-set party . ... and Queen Letizia prefers the simplest life, she values privacy ...), they have not created friendship, and that in my opinion is therefore relevant, because, cousins make different lives, for example, if they, MC and Letizia would have had more connection, they could have gone on vacation together ... But no.

I know that King Felipe doesn't have time, and Prince Pavlos doesn't either, he has his own investment company, they don't have time, and the only time they could have to see them, it is on vacations..

I admire Queen Letizia and I do not see her as the culprit
I believe that Queen Letizia is more willing to sacrifice in favor of her husband, than Princess Marie Chantal, I want to remember that Queen Letizia went to pay tribute to Queen Frederika in 2006, when it was 25 th Anniversary of Queen Frederika´s Death, the Princess Marie Chantal did not travel to Greece, I remembered that she was in a fashion show in Paris. I think Letizia would be more willing to spend a few days on vacation all together, if her husband asked her to, and yet I think Marie Chantal is possible that not.

Infanta Cristina of Spain, Crown Prince Pavlos, Princess Alexia, then Prince Felipe of Spain and Prince Nikolaos during an holiday with their grandmother Queen Frederica at Wolfgangsee (Austria) in 1972.
In those days their parents were attending Munich Olympic Games.

The occasion was Princess Madeleine's wedding to Chris O'Neill in 2013.

:previous:This photo was taken at Georgetown University, where Prince Filippos was studying then, and King Felipe had studied, I do not know the date but it would be 2006-2007

The Greek RF would have been in their second Christmas in exile at this stage :previous:

IMO the Greek royals will always be close to Spanish and Danish royals especially with Queen Sofia around. I recently saw a picture of a King Constantine, his sister Queen Sofia and Queen Anne-Marie.

Princes Tatiana Radziwiłł is a cousin of both Queen Sofia and Princess Irene :previous:

Letizia and Marie Chantal were photographed together in Athens back in January and it seemed the ice had thawed. Always nice to see them all together in good spirits.

The Greeks clearly got preferential treatment: they were the only ones with '3 tickets' instead of 2.

Princess Teodora's wedding has shown me the excellent relationship that exists between Princess Alexia and Infanta Cristina. In Spain it has always been said that the cousins are very close, but at this wedding it has been shown to me that this great friendship continues and extends to their children.
Yesterday the ¡Hola! Spanish published this photo of Miguel and Irene Urdangarin, the children of Infanta Cristina and Carlos Morales, son of Princess Alexia. Last year in Spetses they were also all together.

But also, Amelia and Anne-Marie wore dresses that her mother Princess Alexia had worn in the past. Irene Urdagarin did the same and wore a dress that her mother had worn in the past. It's obvious that this was their mothers' idea. I love the relationship that exists between the cousins. And also with the Infanta Elena
