Whatever, Dumfries was a terrific save for Scotland. It has fulfilled Charles vision in a wonderful way and I love that his vision was not 'just' for the house.

While he did not get a chance to peruse the swiftly tidied rails of cut-price designer clothes, he did pause in the homewear section to have a brief look at the saucepans.

Ms Crawford said if she was to bring Charles to a particular section of the store she would bring him to the ladies department so that he could get a nice hat or scarf for the Queen, adding that there has been a lot of cashmere in lately.
