HRH,Chair of UNSGAB will leave for New York on saturday to attend several meetings next week related to UNSGAB and for talks with Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon,september 19th till september 22nd .

HRH will open the new neighbourhood called " City of the Sun" at Heerhugowaard on wednesday the 23rd of september,
(right from his flight home from NYC).

The Kyoto Treaty was at the bases of the development of this new neighbourhood,its all about sustainebility and emmission neutrality
by use of sun-panels.Might be new here,but it's already custom for decades in the mediterranean countries,here they still act as if
they re-invented the wheel but OK,nice,the quarter on clean energy finally dropped here too.

Not the Princes fault it took so long tho.

HRH will open the "City of the Sun" neighbourhood this afternoon in Heerhugowaard.
At the bases of the project is the Kyoto Treaty,a emmissionfree area powered by sunpanels etc etc.
The Prince already visited the project in 2006.

in Heerhugowaard. The city Heerhugowaard has the treaty of
Kyoto as starting point and is designed by Ashok Bhalotra.

HRH will open the RAI Elicium today,a new building of the RAI Congress center,Amsterdam.

Prince Willem-Alexander opens the new building of the RAI-multi
purpose building in Amsterdam, September 29, 2009. RAI Elicium,
a combination of a fair, congress and conference building, is
designed by the well known architectural firm Benthem Crouwel
Architects.

According to RTL Nieuws, the prince of Orange will join the fregate HMS Evertsen in Mombassa (Kenia) today. He will stay on the ship for 24 hours and he will exit the ship in Mombassa on Wednesday. HMS Evertsen is patrolling in the Gulf of Aden, to find Somali pirates.

navy Hr. Ms. Evertsen during a patrol in the waters of the East-
African coast. The Hr.Ms. Evertsen is there for the mission Atalanta
to prevent the pirats.

HRH will open the RDM Campus Rotterdam today.

The RDM was the Rotterdam Docking Company,the machine hall and the former HQ have been transformed into a superb location for educational institutions and businesses cooperating in the frame of sustaineble innovations in building,energy and mobility.

HRH today also was on a working visit of Gilze-Rijen Airforce base,part of the Defence Helicopter Command since last
year but a airforce base for decades,ever since WWII,is between the cities of Breda and Tilburg.

The Prince visited a onehundred and five year old today.Mr. v/d Waal,who lives in Gouda,had the Prince visiting him for half an hour this morning.

The Prince visited Mr. v/d Waal due to his extraordinairy age,but also because of an event in the past that included both v/d Waal
and Queen Wilhelmina.

During WWII Mr. v/d Waal joined the Resistance.In 1943 he wrote a poem on the love for the Fatherland.It went as it did and the poem reached England,and Queen Wilhelmina.She was so taken by it that she used one of the verses for a leaflet to be thrown out of aircraft over occupied territory.This leaflet,with a handwritten text and photo of Queen Wilhelmina was deliverd over Zeeland shortly before the Liberation of the province in 1944.

A friend of the v/d Waal family thought the 105th anniversary was a reason to bring up this story again.
