It needs an iron, why is it with all the money, staff, designers etc Meghan always manages to not quite pull it off.
I have always believed recommendations are for those that are open to suggestion or advice, however some always know better.I'm surprised there wasn't at least a recommendation as to what constitutes suitable attire.
Both dresses are fine if she was in California, anywhere in the US, or near a beach somewhere. However, in a very conservative country like Nigeria, she is showing too much skin IMHO.
Finally, Dress # 2 is exactly what she should have with a print that seems similar to the one used by the other ladies around her. She does look nice on this print but that's way too much skin to show and doesn't see to take into consideration the ladies around her.
Their clothes look great but also have respect for the country's religious dress style for modesty. Is like Meghan is saying "Modesty? I don't know her." I hope her next stop is not at the Vatican
I do like this yellow dress and she is more appropriate in it than the others. It sounds like they gave her a skirt, as in “this is the kind of garments we wear.” ?The Duchess of Sussex wore her yellow Carolina Herrera dress again today:

Quite right, I am sure they had the advice. But Meghan may have chosen to ignore that advice (unlikely to have been the first time!!)I am blown away that their advisors/PR people didn’t give them more information about appropriate dress in Nigeria. But maybe someone did…..
IMO, the yellow dress is probably the "least worst" of all the outfits she wore on this trip. But it could certainly have benefitted from some shape and tailoring. The Duchess of Sussex wore her yellow Carolina Herrera dress again today:

I agree and the second outfit was not more better and more suited to a summers holiday! It needs an iron, why is it with all the money, staff, designers etc Meghan always manages to not quite pull it off.

Very fair points raised.I cannot quite make up my mind about Meghan and clothes, she has a lovely figure, pretty face. Access to money, designers , lovely outfits etc etc, you all know there is a BUT coming. It just never quite works out for her.
Length too long, inappropriate for the event, too much cleavage, winter clothes in summer, or summer in winter. Too casual too formal,
Whether that is Meghan herself deciding what to wear or the Emperors new clothes and she believes what the designers tell her . The biggest no no for me was the red dress that had everything but the stars and stripes going on, low cut, high slit , thin straps with a poppy stuck in her cleavage.
Is it that she wants to stand out, even if that means looking dishevelled, inappropriate or whatever you want to call it.
From a purely fashion response to this thread, this was my favourite look from the Duchess during the three days. That said, I fully appreciate the comments made by some here about the apparent lack of sensitivity to the culture. At a charity polo game in Lagos yesterday:

I agree, it is a good look, but just the wrong part of the world for it.From a purely fashion response to this thread, this was my favourite look from the Duchess during the three days.
