Lovely dress,i remember seen the Duchess in similar one or it's the same deess?

I like it, even though it's...black. *sigh*. I'm amused by the pooch in the background. Cute photobomb. :D
 
Yes it's black, or is it a navy blue like on the model? Looks black. It's still a very nice cool dress for the hot weather, and I really love the shoes! Now, if there is a coloured dress tomorrow it will be great!

It's apparent that this tour is not about Meghan being too fashion conscious or overly glamorous. She's looked comfortable, functional, and well-groomed in a down-to-earth, casual way. She's a busy, working mom and a caring royal. So she dresses with these roles in mind, and in keeping with her casual California roots and her more sophisticated, cosmopolitan roots in Toronto where she worked on Suits.

Though Meghan tends toward the familiar monochrome color palette that includes an abundance of black and navy, she does often break up that tendency with white and occasional pops of color. On this trip, I am more struck by and engaged with the serious issues the Sussexes are raising than I am overly preoccupied with Meghan's fashion. I didn't care for the shiny, maxi-length green shirt dress earlier on this tour, but in everything else Meghan has looked fine. I particularly enjoyed seeing her in the b&w African-themed patterned dress, and in the blue & white print dress worn to take Archie to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu. On that delightful and poignant outing, the Sussexes looked to be such a happy family.
 
Who cares. It's what she wants to wear.. You can wear any color you like. She likes neutrals and blacks and navy. Its her wardrobe not yours.
 
Yes its navy, but not plain. Broken up with the white buttons. Great casual dress.

And even better, the fantastic pop of red in shoes.
 
I like the all one color, v neck and the buttons down the front for her figure.also, that she dropped the belt that the model wears. Great shoes in complementary color.
 
Apart from the olive dress, I have enjoyed her various outfits and think she has chosen well in terms of practical, flattering styles and clothes that are sensitive to her surroundings.
 
Very nice, very chic. Nice shoes too. Meghan you are keeping me waiting for some colour, but at least this is a pale blush not dark. I seem to recognise this outfit from somewhere else.
 
In the video she looks a bit uncomfortable (holding down the flap, perhaps it's bit short). Perhaps I just prefer the navy one.

Her choice of clothes seems like a PR exercise. She's been criticized for expensive designer wear, so on this trip she is wearing affordable brand-name dresses, or else repeats.
A clever response to the critics.
 
The tan dress is not great on Meghan. She is too short waisted for that dress. The green dress is better but not by much.
 
The first dress is unexciting in color, but fits well, and looks nice. The green dress looks like a wrinkled mess, and is pulling across her body in various places. It looks cool, but that's about it.

I'm disappointed that so far on this trip Meghan has not chosen to wear any local designers. I'm still hopeful, but I do think it's been a missed opportunity.

One of the dresses was by a designer from Malawi and she bought jeans from that jeans designer in SA.

Cynical as many may be, I don't think there is anything wrong in her repeating clothes or wearing high street clothes. It just shows she is sensitive to public opinion and is keen to improve her image. It also sends a powerful message to many that it is okay to continue to repeat clothes over the years.

What I remain disappointed by is that, to the extent she has worn new clothes and those not by local designers, she still does not appear to be willing to wear many British clothes. This is especially noticeable as she is overseas on an official trip. Her support to British fashion would not go unnoticed in these difficult times.

I agree with Ista, she could have worn more than 1 dress by an African designer.

Malawi is 2000 miles away from Capetown, so in no way is Malawi local--aside from the fact that it's, you know, a totally different country.

What's funny is that it's only ever the media that makes an issue about repeating clothing. Us plebs know perfectly damn well you gotta recycle clothing in order to actually provide in your very basic needs.

Anyway, the tan dress is cute and the lighting is doing some major glow up of her skin. The green dress is ok, nothing exciting.

Malawi was a part of the visit so it’s not that much of a stretch. And yes I know it’s like totally a different country.

And several of her jewellery pieces were locally crafted and/or sourced. Like her earrings from yesterday.
