About Te Deum
People have told that there was heard birdsong before the Te Deum started. It started with "Sommarsång" composed by Peterson-Berger, and then was heard "Intåd i Sommerhagen" by the same composer, a melody which is often played when the royal family arrives to Victoriadagen concert on Victoria's birthday.
Chief Court Chaplain Johan Dalman said at his speech among other things
- Five and a half. Let's ask from Haga's fine five-year-old right now how old she is. And I'm sure she answers "Five and a half". It is a big difference to be five year old, and five and a half.
And with Estelle's eyes, mom does not turn 40 years - but 39 and whole one.
- Celebrate everything that the crown princess is. Celebrate everything who the Crown Princess is. What we see, and more. Celebrate the daughter, sister, wife, mother, role model, the person we celebrate - and everything else she is, said bishop Johan Dahlman.
There was also played Evert Taube's "Änglamark", a lovely song.
Court Chaplain and Rector of the Royal Court Parish Michael Bjerkhagen said at his prayer
- Thank you for everything she means for our country. Thank you for all Your love and grace that has carried her during these 40 years. Give her the strength and patience in her responsible mission for Sweden. But give her also the rest and time for recovery that we all need.

The cortège
Margareta Thorgren told about princess Margaretha arriving to the Chapel another route than the others:
- Princess Margaretha informed early this morning that she didn't want to go the traditional way through the South Vault, up the stairs, together with her sisters. The reason was that she had pain in her legs and she wanted to go a shorter route.
Is this something she has known for a long time?
- No, it was temporaland this was decided this morning.

The gift of Västra Götaland county to the duchess of Västergötland was a silver clasp, which the governor gave to Victoria today at the reception.
The silver clasp is a replica of what Kata, the Viking-day ruler in the big farm Varnhem, had over her chest to clothe her mantle - an important part of the former fashion among the women. The clasp is made by gold and silversmith Fredrik Lundberg, active at Kinnekulle in Västergötland.
