It didn't rain on the start but there is a still a big risk for heavy rain on Öland today.
About Victoriagolfen - wow, Isabelle Haak is tall, around 195 cm.
Isabelle Haak is one of the world's best volleyball players, having won the Italian league and the Champions League last season, but she said she was a little nervous before today's golf, as a hobby golfer. Daniel said that she didn't need to be worried, this is a fun form of the game. It became clear early on that Isabelle had nothing to worry about, she hit the best drive on the first hole.
In 2020 Daniel played with polevault-superstar Armand "Mondo" Duplantis. Playing golf with royalty can throw any big star off balance. Reportedly, Mondo noticed a woman following them during the game, and eventually approached and offered to sign an autograph and take a photo with her. However, the woman was not a particularly devoted fan – but Daniel's bodyguard. A charming mistake that the royal family could laugh about afterwards.
- I missed it when it happened, but I cracked up when I heard it, Daniel says.

Svensk Damtidning tells that in the middle of the course, what everyone had feared happened: The storm broke loose and now the downpour is a fact. But golfers are a tough family, Daniel refuses to give up – despite the excruciatingly heavy rain. Svensk Damtidning's editor-in-chief Johan T Lindwall is also golfing there and said that the game is still going on. All the participating teams raise money to the Crown Princess Victoria's Fund.

The risk of bad weather didn't prevent Daniel from participating in Victoriagolfen. He was in excellent spirits despite the weather, joking happily with Isabelle Haak and his co-stars. It wasn't his first round for this year, and he says that he has also played together with his children a little, it has gone well.
When asked if Oscar and Estelle think golf is fun, he replies that it is not their favorite sport, it's football and basketball.
Daniel will live next door to Fågelbro Golf & Country Club when the crown princess family are at their new summer paradise on Värmdö. However, the choice between Ekerum and Fågelbro is not obvious, he says, it depends on the form of the day.
Risk för ruskväder hindrade givetvis inte prins Daniel från att delta i årets Victoriagolf. Prinsen berättar att det även hunnits med lite golfspelande med prinsessan Estelle och prins Oscar under sommaren. – Men det är inte favoritsporten, säger prins Daniel.
