??? I'm not talking about you, I'm talking about people on social media mixing up the two Kings.
I'm no fan of Baudouin, even less so of his wife, but to compare him with Leopold is a bit much.

That being said, I retire from this conversation, Heaven forbid anything I say OFFENDS you again.
Dear Adda I am far from offended. I apologize for misunderstanding your comments.

Is his airplane the Pope said he will lauch the process of the Beatification of King Baudouin because he had the courage not to sign the Law allowing abortion.

That seems surprisingly frequent. I was expecting something more on the order of centuries.
And the Empress Zita was named Servant of God in 2009, the first step on the road to canonization.

In 2001 Queen Elena of Italy was also declared Servant of God. She died in 1952.

As the Catholic Church in Belgium is in sharp decline ,the Beatification process for King Baudouin won't mean much to the general public and sadly won't have the same impact that such an act would have had 30-40 years ago.

The Dutch press mentioned that it was quite exceptional that it is the pope himself who will start the process. Normally these processes are advocated bottom-up.
