Leonor, Princess of Asturias and Prince Gabriel of Belgium would make a wonderful couple!

Another option for Leonor would be Prince Umberto of Bulgaria, son of Prince Konstantin and grandson of King Simeon.

Hopefully Leonor will marry for love!

I think the only royal-royal marriages in the future will be Elisabeth of Belgium, Wenzel and Marie Caroline Liechtenstein and the children of Paul and Eilika Habsburg (Karoly-Konstantin is an Adonis!, maybe someone can post a photo, he turned 20 in July and loves horses)
I predict that Christian Denmark won' t marry a Danish woman and Amalia Netherlands won' t marry a man from the Netherlands.
All the others (Spain, the Scandinavians, Portugal, Japan f.i.) will marry commoners from their own countries.

I think Prss Catherine-Amalia and Count Felix would be a very interesting combination actually. But where would they meet? London would be most likely I suppose.

In fact where would most of these young royals meet in the first place? Families on that level don’t meet each other even at weddings any more.

Amalia and Felix both attended Christian’s 18th birthday gala in 2023.

Yes, that’s true. However though the gala must have been great fun it was still very fleeting. And many royal families just don't meet each or visit each other regularly any more, especially the BRF.

With the Prince Jacques pairing up too, aren’t all three Princesses Protestant?

I did not pay attention to religion when it comes to the majority of the royals that I mentioned. It seems likely they will be accepted to marry as long as they convert.

Princess Geraldine of Albania is the right she bracket for little Charles.😋

I would like Princess Salma bint Abdullah of Jordan married Crown Prince Moulay Hassan of Morocco. Although that will most likely not happen because (correct me if I’m wrong) but the Crown Prince and King of Morocco are not allowed to marry a non-Moroccan woman.

I also would like if Prince Hashem bin Abdullah of Jordan married Princess Lalla Khadija of Morocco.

I just realized that Estelle and Aymeric have a close ancestor and that is Queen Astrid who was born a Princess of Sweden. Had I known that I obviously would not have suggested it. Please excuse the error but I can’t edit my post anymore.

Estelle is not a descendant of Queen Astrid. Her and Aymeric's last common ancestors were King Oscar and Queen Sofia who died in 1907 & 1913. There is nothing that would prevent a marriage between them.

Thank for JR76. I am obviously not a royal lineage expert.

In the European countries with hereditary monarchies, what degree of kinship between a couple would cause marriage between them to be frowned upon socially and/or legally impossible today?

I would bet that both Elizabeth and Leonor would marry someone from the nobility in their own countries the pool of aristocrats in Belgium and Spain is huge and Elizabeth seems to mingle within the nobility circles as we saw her recently attend a wedding in Belgium!

There is no law that prevents this, exactly. I think this is what happens to all ordinary people. But I highly doubt that a marriage between first cousins, for example, would be accepted.

Elisabeth possibly as her father ,grandfather and great uncle all married the members of the European nobility
(Mathilde,Paola and Fabiola)
There's a precedence in the Belgian monrachy.

All I hope is that the cliché of chock and horror of royals marrying royals/nobels is over as am sick of the fairytales of “and he gave up the throne to marry the woman that he loves!”

Marrying a royal/nobel doesn’t instantly mean they married for duty not for love!

Indeed look at the rocky marriage of Albert and Paola ,but thankfully they have over come it all and are now a united couple.
Juan Carlos and Sofia of Spain are married in all but name!

Indeed. The only marriage to a commoner n the belgian RF is the one of Laurent and Claire (not counting the half-siblings of King Albert II. and King Baudouin).

A marriage between first cousins would most likely be frowned upon socially in Sweden but it's perfectly legal.

They indeed tend to marry members of the nobility, but there are some more exceptions. Pss M. Laura married a commoner as well, as did Leopold III of course. Leopold II married his mistress Caroline Lacroix, albeit only in a religious ceremony and not a civil one. Prince Charles may have been married to Jacqueline de Peyrebrune.
