The visit, organised by provincial authorities, will include a boat procession and an elephant procession in the King's honour.
This visit is King Bhumibol Adulyadej's first trip outside of Bangkok since he was admitted to Siriraj hospital in 2009.

BANGKOK (AP) — Thailand's 84-year-old king has recovered from minor bleeding around the brain, the royal palace said Friday, but still canceled a day trip to western Thailand. It would have been his fourth such recent excursion outside the hospital where he has stayed for more than two-and-a-half years.

She is not a 'chubby little princess' but Princess Soamsawali, the former wife of Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.

Looking at some of the coverage, it seems like the people really do get emotional about The King.

In Thailand’s turbulent political history, the king, Bhumibol Adulyadej, has on at least one occasion helped resolve political disputes. But he is 86 years old and ailing.

General Prayuth said in his announcement that the king was “above the entire conflict.”

The military “will protect and worship the monarchy,” he said.

Given the current state of affairs in Thailand, the article is unfortunate.

German Magazine ZEIT - no yellowpress! Definitely a renowned newspaper - has reported that the Crown Prince obviously fled to England:

Reading in the Daily Mail that a source in Thailand said that there were many there who would prefer the Crown Prince not to come back, I wonder, if the publication of this video was a kind of warning for the CP-couple.

Money cannot buy class, as evident in these photos.

No, Queen Sirkit, I cant even imagine how the people of Thailand would feel if she passed away so I pray she wont for her country and family. But If she did pass away, would that prolong the mourning process in Thailand resulting in the delay of the Crown Princes' coronation.
