Bigger photo of the queen with the epaulette earrings. I don't think they suit her, the earrings are too big for an elderly lady like the queen.

Yesterday evening the queen had the floral earrings, a diamond riviere and obviously a brooch at her hair. A pity that we don't have many photos from the banquet.

During the day today the queen had pearl earrings and one of her brooches

I love big jewels, but these earrings are too big for the Queen.
But can someone tell me. When were these made as earrings? First time used just some years ago or what?

I don't think they do too much for the outfit and look a little too large.

They are very large earrings and I do not think we will see her use them again, but I don't begrudge her a bit of fun with the earrings.

Honestly, I like the overall look. Very elegant and the earrings are just a big too big but nothing to sneeze at. She’s the Queen and is being opulent. I mean she simply looks incredible and is proud of how she looks :)

The epaulettes are a bit big to be earrings. But what is there to do about that? They weren't made to be worn as earrings, nobody uses jeweled epaulettes anymore, chopping them to apart to create smaller earrings would be barbaric, imho. So if the choice is between wearing oversized earrings and letting them gather dust in the vault, i chose option one.

One more time I nailed on Silvia wearing the Edwardian Ruby Tiara

The tiara looks very well on the Queen, a lighter tiara. The brooch is also very beautiful, is it a ruby? The earrings don’t look antique or that they are part of the set

Whilst mixing rubies with navy blue is not an obvious combination, I thought the Queen did a good job of incorporating the colour of the sash using the ruby gems.

Can't claim to be a fan of the earrings, only wish the Swedish RF acquires a half decent ruby an diamond demi parure to go with the tiara.

Other than the earrings I thought the queen's jewels in Estonia last night were really lovely and nothing out of place.

The earrings are OK on their own but they are out of place here as they are too modern. The Queen needs a pair of antique ruby and diamond earrings to match the tiara and brooch and if she could aquire a ruby necklace to add to the set as well that would be even better.

We can be thankful for Queen Silvia, who is now one of the very few -if not the only- royal lady keeping up standards. Two tiara events is a rare treat for state visits these days.

I could not agree more.

Whilst they are out shopping, might the acquire an emerald and diamond tiara as well? If they want to repurpose an existing piece, the Leuchtenberg sapphire and diamond tiara could be altered such that the sapphires could be replaced with emeralds (or turquoiuse) and vice versa.
