The Queen presented the God Förebild (Good Role model) award in connection with a seminar on care for the elderly arranged by the Foundation Borgerskapets Enkehus och Gubbhus The diploma ceremony took place in connection with the commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the Foundation.
The Foundation Borgerskapets Enkehus och Gubbhus was founded in 1724 with the overarching goal of promoting care for the elderly, primarily members of Stockholm's Borgerskap. The foundation runs nursing homes in Stockholm.

Drottningen prisade personal vid omsorgsboende

Den 23 september delade Drottningen ut utmärkelsen God Förebild i samband med ett seminarium om äldrevård arrangerat av Stiftelsen Borgerskapets Enkehus och Gubbhus.

Queen Silvia handed yesterday over scholarships from the Frimurare Barnhuset Foundation at Bååtska Palace in Stockholm.
During the ceremony, 29 scholars in pediatric research received diplomas from the Queen.

Den 9 oktober överlämnade Drottningen stipendier ur stiftelsen Frimurare Barnhuset till forskare inom pediatrik för studier om barns hälsa och sjukdomar.

The Royal Court:
During the morning of 10 October, the Queen visited competence center Ågrenska and inaugurated Framtidens rum, where a music room was added to give children and young people unique cultural experiences. The room was created with support from the Stenastiftelsen.
In the afternoon the Queen visited Gothenburg University on the occasion of World Mental Health Day. In connection with the Queen's 80th birthday, the university received a gift with support aimed at establishing a professorship in global child and youth health, with a focus on mental health. The Queen attended also a round-table discussion in which invited researchers, practitioners and experts participated.

Under förmiddagen den 10 oktober besökte Drottningen kompetenscentret Ågrenska och nyinvigde Framtidens rum . Därefter deltog Drottningen vid ett rundabordssamtal på Göteborgs universitet med anledning av World Mental Health Day .

The symposium "The development of care in Alzheimer's disease and other dementias" was organized by the Solstickan Foundation and the Karolinska Institutet.
