Absolutely gorgeous. Mathilde has always looked great in orange and this time is no different. And the jewelry are in perfect match with the dress.

Queen Mathilde does look lovely but the gown looks shapeless and could have been altered slightly.

As a general reminder: this is a fashion thread, jewels can be discussed at the Royal Jewels subforum. A number of posts of yesterday and today have therefore been removed.

Surprisingly the more I look at it the more I like it. There's something so regal in that gown.

Amazing, stunning. ICONIC! If only she would ditch that god-awful granny hairdo of hers.
She's so beautiful...

Thank you. I'm not the only one continually wishing she'd cut her hair short again.

Other than that jacket the queen looks really nice.

That's a wonderful look on Mathilde. Red velvet neck to toe isn't something everyone can pull off but on her it looks very sleek and elegant.

More Dries van Noten and less Natan!

A really lovely colour on Queen Mathilde but a red velvet suit to a Gala Dinner?

I think the rule of thumb is if it would work as a gown, there isn't any reason that the same materials shouldn't work in trouser suit form. It's not like a red velvet suit is typically worn to run errands.

I'm also grateful she decided to wear it now and not next month, when it would probably spill over into too-seasonal and cheesy. If she wants to pull this out for one day mid-February, though, I will give her a pass. ;)

Stunning! It looks much better when paired with the Laurel Wreath Tiara instead of a pillow box hat.

Queen Mathilde is so absolutely stunning and regal.

Such a beautiful outfit, she is right to use it again.

I love the Armani Prive gown. The color looks great on her.

The red dress is ok.

I knew we had seen it before and a really beautiful look on the queen.
