According to Anna von Lowzow, they were little souvenirs, so to speak, a little thing to bring home, and such are given out at most banquets/official parties like the gala banquet yesterday. AFAIK it's a tradition that goes back as far as to King Christian IX and Queen Louise.

Nope. Unless they've been terribly wrong on TV2 all day (wouldn't be a first, honestly), I believe tonight is private – apart from the entrance, that is.

Too cute. I love that girl! I'm surprised that Mette Hansen was there as their nanny. I thought she quit that job years ago?

She probably means a lot to the family, not least the children, certainly she and Christian were very close. Remember the scene in Copenhagen Zoo? That was pure love between Mette Hansen and Christian.

That's what I thought too. So unfortunate. It does not look good (for several different reasons.) just stick to a nice tuxedo jacket.

Accordign to BB's Annemette Krakau John and Susan have lived for four weeks home at F&M and children as John has just undergone a surgery in his shoulder. Susan couldn't be there tonigt due to two fatalities in her family.

I recognised King Constantine II of Greece, Crown Prince Haakon of Norway, Princess Benedikte of Denmark, King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Susanne Heering and Susanne Vind.

I also think that the, eh, balding gentleman was Kjeld Hillingsø but there was no close-up of him so I'm not sure.

I'm going to surprise myself by saying that Benedikte is on top of my list for the evening (as far as I've seen from the photos). Lovely woman, great dress!

How many grand events can you pack into two days? My goodness! Over on the Order of Sartorial Splendor blog, there are literally thousands of comments - too many to go through.

Just a few observations:

Too bad PH couldn't be there; I had hoped he would be well enough to attend tonight's dinner with friends and family.

CP Frederik looks more and more like the king he will become - relaxed and confident.

So nice to see all of the grandchildren. Dear little Athena looks as though she doesn't know what to make of it all. Her hair is growing out and she has a sweet face.

Finally, for the Danish speakers - how do you pronounce this word: tyllkke. (hope I spelled it right)

Svensk Damtidning's reporter has two "behind the scenes" photos at her blog: Prince Henrik's dog is out just before all the photographers came, and king Carl Gustaf and queen Silvia at a bus. The reporter writes that there was plenty of empty seats at the bus, but the king and queen wanted to sit right at the front.
