The bride looked radiant and the tiara/dress and veil were all perfect as were the settings too!The wedding reception locale was absolutely spectacular! It took place right on the beach with thousands of tiny candles placed directly on the sand/shoreline leading to the sea.
There was a raised area outdoors with round tables for dinner and a pavilion under a canopy for maybe dancing? The photos are in the cake cutting IG.
Kudos to Anne Marie or whomever planned this wedding. Everything was beautiful.
Thanks Lula, these are some new photos I haven't seen before. They are great!! Everyone looks much more relaxed, having fun in the post wedding reception photos.
I don't know if it is considered a family reunion but the three sisters and their kin gathered together in December 2014.No, in the last 24 years since Queen Ingrid's death the Greek cousins did not annually spend summers with the Danes. It was Queen Ingrid who loved to unite all her grandchildren in Graasten.
In Margrethe's time there were 2 family reunions, once at Christmas in 2006 and once in the summer in 2022. I also remember Princess Alexia in Graasten in the summer after Christian's birth. And the Greeks were invited to the big royal events, jubilees, birthdays and weddings, of which there were many.
I guess they will also be invited in the future and perhaps there will be special reunions or invitations of one or the other cousin (this year it was Gustav and Carina) but the annual gatherings are definitely a thing of the past for a while now.
Queen Sofia got a lot of attention. I liked when she was supposed to go up on the carpeted steps and right away changed her mind like if thinking 'I'm not risking tripping on that carpet!' and got her grandkids to escort her to the safer steps.Guests arriving: Hannover's
Princess Benedikte, Princess Alexandra, Count Michael and Count Richard
Queen Sophia, the Infantas and 3 of Christina's children
I agree. Unpopular opinion perhaps but the bridal gown would have been even more successful the way Theodora wore it for her dinner reception. I am not even sure why the "bib" was necessary? The bride looked radiant and the tiara/dress and veil were all perfect as were the settings too!
