Dear Odette, I haven't got anything against Marie's clothes as such (except for that horrible leather/fur bodywarmer-vest), I'm sure she wears quality stuff (at least now). It's just the way she (or her stylist) combines things. At least here in Holland we consider this kind of dressing "WAG" or "Gooische Vrouw" (means "Woman of the "Gooi", an area in Holland between Amsterdam and Utrecht were a lot of nouveau riche people live. They dress like that). It may be expensive, but it doesn't have much style. Same with Marie (in my VERY humble opinion of course:)).

I am sure you or I or no one here has anything against Marie. She is just too new on the scene and we seem to pick up more vibes from her than other ladies we may have been used to by now.

I think that it is the best she has looked in ages. Nice balance of casua & formal, and the colours look great on her (especially the top!).

I take it that she didn't go hunting herself, otherwise that white cardigan would have scared all the animals away and the stiletto heels wouldn't have been too comfortable either. Otherwise nice outfit (yeah, even I sometimes think she looks nice:ROFLMAO:..)

Well the white cardigan is beautiful but a bit cold to wear it!

I think that Marie looks fantastic. Dressing casually is definitely her strong point.

What's a USK??
"Urban Survival Kit", for all those "necessary" trifles or thneeds (as Doctor Seuss was want to call them) that we women (and not a few men) need to carry with us everywhere. :whistling:

Thank you, as a diehard country lass I didn't know.

Princess Marie looks all right: classic timeless style. She defintely loves her grey colour.

She looks lovely in this suit. It is very classic and elegant. I like the little bow on the jacket. I usually don't like bows, but this one is very cute (but not too cutesy).

sneeuwklokje, I love your dangerous sense of humour!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

nice hair & suit but for official photos the neckline is too low for my taste - you can see more of the decollete than necessary. marie's style makes the whole couple look strange - a fast-aging joachim, pale & gaunt with the young sexy french girl marie showing off what she's got.

I think that her choice of clothing was perfect for the portrait, especially as it was for the announcement of her pregnancy and very much emphasized her belly.

Her grey and taupe shirt that she wore to the George Michael's concert is by Malene Birger.. If anyone interested, there's the black version of the top available on sale for DKK2999.. Here's the link..

I really liked the outfit that she wore to the concert. I'm not as fond of the black version. Marie looked so pretty in grey.

I'm afraid I missed something here. I haven't seen the outfit she wore to the concert, at least I don't remember seeing it! Will someone be so kind as to steer me in the right direction or show a pic so I can see it? Thanks ever so much in advance!!

With the exception of her wedding gown (which was near perfection) and perhaps 2 or 3 other outfits, I still think that she needs help from a stylist. She just hasn't got that "Princess' look with her fashion, imho. Somehow she lacks the regal, polished look required of a HRH. I am Still hoping because the potential is there!

I think the potential is certainly there, she just still manages to look a little too casual and less polished than a Princess should be.

Well jcbcode, one thing's for sure...We agree to agree!!! :) Also, she doesn't have to look far for a Perfect example of how a Princess should look. She just has to follow sister-in-law CP Mary's fashion sense and she can't go wrong!
