margaret was a beautiful bride and i think with her looks she didn't need a dramatic gown...the simplicity was perfect for her.
That's indeed something to notice and I must admit I haven't looked at it that way. When it comes purely to looks, I think that Margaret eclipsed Elizabeth (the same thing has been written in Hello! Magazine's tribute to her when she had passed away).
I agree-Margaret was definitely the more glamorous sister, but I am sure that is part and parcel to the fact that she was the "spare". She was the indulged child because she wouldn't inherit the throne (or so I've seen it written in her biographies)
Steven, thank you so much for the beautiful photos of Princess Margaret's wedding. I truly enjoyed them and will look at them many times more! She really was a beauty and I think that Lord Snowdon must have been a very proud man on their big day!

A little help to recognise the people in this group picture:
in the second row, from left to right: Prince William or Richard of Gloucester?, the Duchess of Gloucester, ?, ?(maybe Prince Charles), the Queen, the Groom, the Bride, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, ?, ?, ?.
in the third row: ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, the Duke of Edinburgh, ?.
Can someone help me with "?" persons?
Who walked her down the church?
