No clue, sine it's private business... But I would guess that the Princess will spend some time at the Royal Family's summer home Solliden on the island of Öland, and perhaps a trip so some sunnier place...
And spend some time with Jonas Bergström I would guess...

any recent pictures/news on the princess?
maybe we'll see some during her easter holidays.

No, its been very quiet on the Madeleine-front lately. Guess she´s busy studing and taking long walks with Jonas :)

but just as agisele wrote, hopefully we´ll se some easter photos! Perhaps like the ones from Marbella in 2003 :D

Yes, that would be great. But I (obviously completely obsessed with Royals ;) ) have already checked the temperatures for South france and Marbella and it says only 16-18 °C max. Easter is simply too early this year :( I don´t see the Royal family holidaying in South europe and I doubt, that they will go to Africa or America on holiday...but who knows.

Apparently Madeleine and Victoria went to Storlien during their easter holiday and stayed in the royal cottage...

Aftonbladet writes that an unidentified man got to close to the cottage and the the security company that guards the princesses had him "removed"

http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/nyheter/story/0,2789,624310,00.html

Is anyone counting how many articles Aftonbladet has written on "unidentified men", who got to close to the princesses?? I´m now in temptation to write Aftonbladet a reader´s letter and to tell them, that they should write something interesting.
Why was no one up there and has made pictures or has talked to the princesses (or other members of the RF). It was quite clear, that the RF (or members) would go this year either to Storlien (Åre), Öland or (in the case of Victoria) Ockelbo.
Only incompetent pack is working at Aftonbladet. When they can´t write anything interesting (and can´t publish new photos...I don´t mean just Paparazzi-pics) on the RF, they should write nothing at all!

I wonder how many of the "unidentified men" Aftonbladet writes about are other curious journalists or photographers?

:D :D Good theory. They all look sleazy and drunk ;)

I´ve now made a list of articles I NEVER want to read again in a swedish (and later in a german, norwegian, danish etc.) tabloid:

1. Jagad - av en psyksjuk (= hunted- of a mentally ill person... this is always in connection with the princesses and always mentally ill men want to be together with the them. I also don´t want to read stories on the bodyguards of the Royal family. At least as long as no bodyguard is dating the princesses. But since Sweden isn´t Monaco, we won´t see that...for new ppl on the board: No, Daniel Westling isn´t/wasn´t her bodyguard, though he looks as if he would)

2. Madeleine´s vän greps med knark (=Madeleine´s friend caught with drugs...Is it necessary to mention that Madeleine´s so called addicted friend can also be the baker, where she buys her bread rolls in the morning, or the friend of the ex-friend of a friend, who has said 2 sentences to Madeleine in a night club...something like "sorry, that I stood on your foot. Can you tell me the time, I´ve lost my watch"?? But since he/she is never mentioned with his/her name, it doesn´t matter)

3. Hovet rasar mot XY (the court is angry at XY...usually XY is a person, who thinks he/she is funny, because he/she makes fun of the Royal family. But of course they are not as funny as the one and only great new spokeswoman of the court Ann Christine Jernberg, who always feels appealed to make a comment to the jokes of the comedians. A shut mouth doesn´t catch flies, Ann Christine...)

4. All connections between the princesses and faked porn pictures on the net (here again our dear ACJ manages it to make a mountain out of a molehill...and I always have to imagine, how the male readers of the tabloids go to google and type "prinsessan Madeleine naked/naken" in...btw you get about 3000 hits for it :p ;) )

5. Hovet stämmer tyska skvallertidningar (= the court sues the german tabloids...ok ok, they have deserved it. But the irony, that tabloids like Aftonbladet and Expressen love to write about it, was only 10 seconds funny.)

6. Hovet vill ha mer pengar (The court wants more money...About 3 hours after such headlines were published, you can find poor little descendants of social democrats, who have to work 120 hours a week for their 1 SEK and 1 Öre per hour, on the net and you can see how they fill forums with "abolish the monarchy, it´s a shame for our democratic Sweden")

When I see one of these headlines again in a swedish tabloid, I will cry so loud, that you can hear it even in Sweden (not to mention the US, China, Australia, Chile...)

Very funny, and true. And be sure that VG in Norway and BT and Ekstrabladet in Denmark pick up the story just hours later, especially if they concern Madeleine they might even end up on the frontpage

Also the "close freinds" that talk to the press:cool: . How close are the "close friends" that rats the princesses out to the press? I would think the really close friends like the one that is almost as tanned as Madeleine, I cant remember her name would, ever talk to the press.

I also dont like the articles about the money, especially the ones related to security, its the Police that says the security has to be increased, which is natural when the children grow up, its not the King calling the Prime minister asking for an extra bodyguard for his daughter, and after the Anna Lind tragedy there should not be taken any unnecassary risks.

As for Ann Cristin, she needs to stop writing stupid comments on the website (she should instead spend some time on updating its dated look), not comment on stupid articles in Expressen and Aftonbladet, as that only leeds to more stupid articles in the very same papers. And if she has to reply to something, dont add non relevant information like "the Princess continues with her studies" in a comments about partying or free clothes, it looks very petty and unroyal IMO.

And Finally I personally think that the "serious":D :p  papers Expressen and Aftonbladet just Looooooves the german rags, that way they can report all the silly storys about Madeleine without loosing the tiny rest of credibility they have because they did not write it first.

Yes, partly the take even the articles verbatim over. Unfortunatley one can´t say, that Expressobladet uses great grammar, variation of words etc. In other words I guess to say a 10 year old swedish school boy could write the same articles isn´t exaggerated. While tabloids should respect Royal families, I think that many of the stories on the Royal families shouldn´t be taken so deadly serious. One could mean those "journalists" at the scandinavian tabloids have never heard of the word "satire" or an appealing writing style.

We can dream of that, but nowdays I rather imagine a typical day at the court like this:
8:30am Ann Christine arrives at the Royal castle

8:35am Ann Christine shouts at the young trainee Sophia, that she should make coffee

8:49am: Ann Christine drinks coffee and eats her second breakfast. While doing she notices a new article of Daniel Nyhlén on the Royal family. She reads it highly alarmed and she takes a few post-its out to order her thoughts. Nervously she writes them down.

9:10am Ann Christine places a tack on the chair of Elisabeth Tarras Wahlberg

9:12am Ann Christine removes the tack of the chair. She has remembered, that she will need the help of ETW later

9:15am ETW arrives. The "god morgon" between her and Ann Christine is quite "cool"

9:30am The crown princess arrives. Ann Christine is smiling like a cheshire cat. "Daniel Nyhlén has again written rubbish, but her royal highness doesn´t need to worry, I will dispose the problem"

9:35am Ann Christine writes frenetically a counterstatement with WORD. The tongue is hanging out to the right side, while she writes.

9:37am: Ann Christine has pressed a wrong key and the whole text is gone.

10:05am Ann Christine has finished the text. The webmaster arrives.

10:07am Ann Christine strokes the butt of the webmaster and says "Can you please put that online at once?" While he does it, she grins triumphantly

10:10am Ann Christine decides, that it´s again time for a break. She eats a piece of cake, that Sophia had to bring her. After that she slowly removes the crumbs with a table vacuum cleaner. Later she tidies her pencils. They don´t have all the same length, so she decides to point them until they have the same length

10:30am The crown princess asks Ann Christine something via the inter phone. She forgets to put it off

10:45am Ann Christine can hear, that the crown princess calls someone. She notices, that it´s a private call to Daniel Westling. She puts the inter phone louder and tells the webmaster angrily, that he should play his computer games without sound.

11:05am: Elisabeth Tarras Wahlberg comes to Ann Christine´s office. She wants to talk about a mistake, that Ann Christine has made -> http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:p1cooTHKZGIJ:www.journalisten.nu/a.asp%3Farticle_id%3D8507+Ann+Christine+jernberg&hl=de She shouts at Ann Christine, that she should know to which agencies exclusive picture rights are given. Ann Christine regrets, that she hasn´t placed the tack on the chair. She decides, that she won´t talk to ETW this day anymore.

11:06am ETW wants to leave the room and notices, that the webmaster surfs on porno pages. He splutters: "Ehm...I´m doing ehm...some research...those bastards...want to ridicule again...the Royal family" ETW raises her eyebrow and leaves the room

11:15am Ann Christine decides to go through a few informations until the noon...so she´s taking out the TV magazine and the weekly schedule of Dramaten (theater in Stockholm)

11:55am Ann Christine starts her lunch break

01:05pm Ann Christine comes back from her lunch break. She orders coffee from Sophia (who hasn´t had lunch break, because she had to put all folders in order...since 6am)

01:10pm Ann Christine calls her hubby and talks to him for 20 minutes

01:30pm The crown princess leaves the office. She has Elisabeth Tarras Wahlberg in her tow.

01:35pm Ann Christine checks the official schedule of the Royal family and notices, that the crown princess has an awards show in the afternoon and that the Royal couple opens an exhibition out of the town

01:40pm Ann Christine packs up her coat. Then she makes a note in her time card "stayed until 17:30". Before she leaves, she shouts at Sophia, that she has to be ready with all the folders until tomorrow.

01:41pm Ann Christine goes to her car ;) ;) ;) (Sorry for "abusing" the thread on Madeleine, but this comes to my mind, when ACJ is discussed)

I second that emotion! Someone once predicted for 2005 that "Ann-Christine Jernberg will resign when asked a question by an Expressobladet reporter and she has no response. She will resign in embarassment.":)

Of course, said person, noted that a Bernadotte will have either a parking violation or a driving violation." this year as well. Two months didn´t even pass for that one to come true. Tack, Madeleine! :)

"I´ve now made a list of articles I NEVER want to read again in a swedish (and later in a german, norwegian, danish etc.) tabloid:"

How about the articles where they mentioned the hangouts or the fashion places that Madeleine goes to? We´ve seen a few of them these last couple of years. Getting old, I´d say.

" I wonder how many of the "unidentified men" Aftonbladet writes about are other curious journalists or photographers?"

Or made up?

the same story as I posted above, but this time in English!

Princess's bodyguards stop drunk
Bodyguards protecting Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine were forced to restrain and remove a man from outside the royal family's house in Storlien.

The man, in his thirties, was said to be behaving aggressively outside the mountain retreat at about 4am on Easter Sunday.

"We had a report that a drunk man was removed," said Nils Kärrlander, a senior officer at the security police, to Aftonbladet.

According to the tabloid, a group of 20-30 people attended a party at the Danskegården complex, where the resort's staff and the bodyguards were staying, after Storlien's bars closed. One of the people at the party said that it had become rowdy and the bodyguards had to step in:

"[The man] went out for a walk and the guard thought he was on his way to the king's house, which was only 50 metres away."

Nils Kärrlander told Aftonbladet that he was not aware of any charges against the man.

Last week the Marshal of the Realm, Ingmar Eliasson, said that the royals need more money for security, claiming that the palace is less well protected than parliament and government offices.

Currently only the king and Crown Princess Victoria have personal protection officers.

i think one of the papers will have a april fools that involves madeleine tomorrow

oh, then we will better watch out :) What do you think they will write? Perhaps something spectacular that Ann Christine denies three seconds later :D

Whats that article about?
Its about a "fight" between two swedish photo agencys. The royal court usual allows them to share the royal events. first one agency, next time the other one. (that was a hard one to translate to english :) time for me to do some english studies *lol*)
Now there are so many agencys in Sweden, so they has to make some kind of schedule to keep everyone happy.

mixer2002de said:
well then I would give the pics to them all!
that´s one way :) but if everyone had the same photos, they would be worth much less because of the lack of "exclusivity"

but no struggle about them. and at least no problems for the court! Or does the court participate in the sales?

edit: It was the danish mag Billed-bladet. sorry about that :)

A danish paper writes that Madeleine is interested in Kabbalah, a mysterious religion with many famous followers, among them Madonna and Britney Spears.
Madeleine have ordered books online about Kabbalah. But she is not that into it yet. She don´t wear the Kabbalah sign, a red string around her wrist.

Interesting information, Yennie. When it´s true I must say, that I haven´t seen Madeleine as a person, who follows "pop religions". I admit, that I´ve also worn those buddhism wristbands (with those little stones) a few years ago, but for me everything has a limit. Madonna changes her religion all 3 or so years and many ppl follow her like a flock of sheep.

How would a norwegian mag know anything about Madeleine and kabbalah:confused:
It looks like it is from Her og Nå, they rarely have any news with credibility, unlike Se ogHør who often gets their storys right (other times not so much, but they have better "journalists" or pay more for exclusive storys than Her og Nå which just reproduce what other publications has already written)

I think this is from billed-bladet. Ritva has scanned it as third page under billed-bladet http://www.ritva.com/tidningar.htm So it´s a danish article. And yes, it´s a bit strange, that a foreign magazine knows, what Madeleine orders on the internet. Maybe other magazines will talk about that too, and then we have just to wait for a denial through the court ;)

Wouldn't that kick her out of the line of succession?
I think its just the King and the crown princess who has to be protestant (hmm, right word?!) as the church is now seperated from the swedish state

I´ve thought since 1999 no one in the RF has to belong to the lutheran-protestant religion. But I admit, that I also don´t know enough.
And isn´t Madonna still member of the catholic church, but belongs at the same time to the Kabbalah-sect?
When it´s true, that Madeleine has ordered books (would love to see her complete book-list...all books, she has ordered in the past 3 years), she has maybe just done it to inform herself...out of her interest for ethnology (???)

I don't think kabbala is an established church like for ex. the catholic or lutheran, it's merely like some sort of sect-like group or something... I don't give much for that paper writing what books Princess Madeleine has ordered; but even if she would have I don't understand what would be so strange about that - she could just be curious like many people are for new phenomenons in our world today. I've read about new age, but it doesn't make me a member of some new age group just because of that!

All members of the Royal Family are members of the Church of Sweden, which is of evangelical lutheran faith. But just as Yennie correctly pointed out, it's only the Head of State and the heir (if she or he wants to be able to become monarch one day) that has to belong to the Church of Sweden. If a member of the Royal Family should choose to leave it, he or she will lose theirs and their offspring's place in the Line of Succession for ever (ooh that sounded dramatical! :D).

:D Well but ther is the European union. I think you could sue Sweden for discrimination at the European court for human rights and you would most likely win. I think some Brit sued his country for about the same reason, just for fun.

i guess that Magazines and newspapers have nothing to report on so they start to pick on the young royals,," Now i never knew the Danes had access to Madeleines internet accounts" i wish they write something descent for once...

Kabbalah

Kabbalah comes from Judaism.
