It appears ML has aligned herself with Michael Beckwith the minister at she and Durek's wedding. He is a Beverly Hills new age practitioner (and former drug addict). He has spent decades working to legitimize himself creating his own ministry, Agape International Spiritual Center. Beckwith refers to himself as "Dr" Beckwith, perhaps obtained from his ministry school.

Beckwith's bio aligns himself to Morehouse College and the University of Southern California yet graduating from neither. He apparently graduated from a place called Ernest Holmes College School of Ministry in 1985, not affiliated with USC. Ernest Holmes 1887-1960 was an American "New Thought" writer, teacher, and leader. He was the founder of a spiritual movement known as Religious Science, part of the greater New Thought movement, whose spiritual philosophy is known as "The Science of Mind." He was author of "The Science of Mind"
and numerous other
metaphysical books and the founder of Science
of Mind.
