She is lovely but she looks awfully thin to me in those pictures taken at the reception for the foreign ambassdors. :( The gown is very pretty but it seems to be hanging off of her ever so slightly. She looked a lot healthier at the El Mundo newspaper meet and greet. She's the same size in both I know :p but she looked thinner at the reception.

That's just an opinion. I really like her and I think she's gorgeous!

Here's a couple of better photos, from ImagineScandinavia:

By the way, we were also missing both the smokings Letizia wore:

1. at the Opera, before marriage (this one is signed by Adolfo Dominguez);2. at the prize-giving ceremony of the Chamber of Trade of Manresa.

For those who can read Spanish, here's an article about Lorenzo Caprille's creations:

A clothes shop in Zaragoza has decided to "clon" Letizia's most unforgetable dresses.
In the photos, we can see Letizia's engagement suit, her pre-wedding dinner dress and also both pre-wedding concert and wedding ceremony in Denmark, as well as both the dresses she wore at the Gómez-Acebo's weddings.
Here's also a photo of the front door of the shop, in case you decide to go there... :p

She's thin to begin with, and getting thinner is not a good sign. Looking gaunt inspite of good facial features is never pretty. I hate to see the shoulder blades protruding. Women ought to have some fat not only for prop but for physical health. Also, why does she always wear red evening gowns? She looks alright in red, but just about every piece is red, who's that dull designer?

Yes, Blueice. Miguel Palacio was the designer who made the outfit she used to her cousin's wedding, as you can see in the photo I previously had posted. http://www.especialeshf.com/bodareal/galeria16/galeria16_7.htm?r=dm

I'm not sure about Mota, but surely not at gala events.

Thank you so much Elsa M. :). I was almost sure one of her outfits was designed by Miguel Palacio, yet I couldn't remember where I sow it. Thanks a lot, indeed - for the info and for the wonderful links! I love her sense of style - always classy, trendy, simple, decent, unpretentious and very chic. I love (moderate) minimalism in clothing since, to my opinion, it allows one's personality and attitude to be expressed and to make a statement. I am also a big fan of excellent tailoring, classic based - but chic and contemporary style which also presumes natural, quality materials, basic and neutral colors, excellent choice of accessories and flawless fit. All of this can be recognized in Letizia's style most of the time and I almost anxiously wait to see her next public appearance.

But a wonderful recicling. Like this vertion mucht more. I think the other very "old".
Thanks for the pics.

Letizia looks amazing! I love how she recycled this dress. I didn't even recognize it until I saw the train. It looks better than before!

Letizia looks so beautiful, and I love this 'version' much more than the pre-wedding style. I like that idea; 'recycling' gowns.

Letizia has a refreshingly modern sense of style which suites her wonderfully. Thanks to everyone for the fantastic photos! :)

it's incredible the quantity of clothes letizia has. although her style can sometimes be boring, her evening outfits are normally the nicest...

From the reception to the diplomatic representatives in Spain (January, 13th 2005). A two pieces signed by Lorenzo Caprile:

I do not like it at all, and Letizia seems so thin in it!
It looks like an old outfit of the 80's!

To read an interview with Lorenzo Caprile (the designer in charge of most of Letizia's gowns), where he speaks about the Princess of Asturias, please, see this thread:

The brooch of Lorenzo Caprile

He’s the owner of prestigious factory already for eleven years, but with May 2004, there’s, without any doubt, a before and an after for him. Lorenzo Caprile was the first designer who dressed the Princess of Asturias in long dress. His masterful cuts made the gowns that the then fiancée of Don Felipe wore at the wedding of Frederick of Denmark to Mary Donaldson (the spectacular Hollywood-style that red dress caused a delirium without any precedents) and the one Doña Letizia wore at the pre-wedding dinner that the King and Queen offered at El Pardo. "That was a experience that is lived once in the lifetime", says Caprile, who, by a particular coincidence, is also celebrating his birthday. "It was an incredible week. We had made several gowns to the Princess and, except the one she wore at the gala of El Pardo, we did not know for sure when was she going to use them and, for our great surprise, she took them at the Danish royal wedding".

Besides, the Madrilenian designer saw accomplished one of his yearnings, when he was chosen to make the outfits of the children who accompanied the bride and groom. "That was one of the more affectionate memories for me; it was like making the clothes for an antique film, which is the greatest dream I have".

The designer evokes with pride: "the children were very handsome and very graceful with their pranks". “The Real House gave us unlimited power to make what we wanted. It was a great honour, because it was like making a brooch to the work of the master Pertegaz". He became one of the main designers of the Princess. Caprile confesses he would love to make the pregnancy gowns of Doña Letizia for her future dutties. In fact, the couturier dedicates a special chapter to pregnant women, in his book, in which he advises the future mothers "not to hide or be ashamed of their bellies, but on the contrary, since that period in the life of women is when they are more handsome of face, glowing, with a special brightness".

Some of my favourite gala outfits worn by Letizia. I've seen pictures of Letizia (maybe on another thread) in a black fitted jacket that appears to be beaded with a long black skirt that looks a bit like a fishtail. I don't sppose anybody has a picture of it, please?
Letizia always looks fantastic, especially her gala dresses, they're always so regal and feminine.

I guess you're referring to the outfit she took to the ceremony of the Spanish flag that was given to the Civil Guard's Unit of Rural Action (June 15th 2005), when she made her first speech.

She was dressed in full black along with a mantilla (as protocol demands). The designer was Felipe Varela.

What an unusual and suprising choice of her:cool: and what a creative designer he is:p

I so hope she will attend the Pascua Militar and the diplomat reception after christmas and that she gets Caprile to make her dresses, it has been loooong since she donned a gala dress, and not even once during the pregnancy...:(

Yes, it's sad. When the pregnancy was announced Caprile said that his greatest dream is to make a pregnancy gown for Letizia. But anyway, she didn't attend any gala, so...

Thank you, Elsa M. Althoguh maybe my memory's skewed that doesn't look like the outfit I'm thinking of, I recall it being alot glitzier.

Hmm, well, the only black long skirt she took as a Princess was this one... and the other gala outfits are posted at pages nr. 2-3. Is there a strong possibility of you seing it in a German magazine? They seem to have much fun manipulating photos (they've turned all her dresses into pratically every possible colour)...

...Or it could be one of her gala dresses, from her times as journalist... Can it be this one?... (Courtesy of www.letiziaortiz.tk)

Wow, I love the top part of that gown. I'm not so keen on the skirt, but the colour is gorgeous.
