Princess Letizia's Daytime Fashion Part 12: February 2010 - April 2010

While I think that Letizia is a beautiful woman, I really find her fashion frustrating. She never seems to put a lot of thought into her outfits. She has had some lovely evening outfits but her daytime leaves a lot to be desired. I feel like other princesses look like royals during the day while still in functional clothing for inaugurations etc. Letizia wears decent clothes but looks like any other lady on the street.

As for the easter outfit I think it is nice but too casual for the occasion especially compared to the rest of the family

She dressed rather formally the first 3 years, then the last 3 years, she wore casual clothes, don't know why. Maybe she just wanted to dress like most of the people inside the church. I wonder if she looked at her own pictures as Diana used to, if yes, why would she want to dress so different from her mom-in-law whose example she wanted to follow ?

I am very disappointed in what Letizia wore to Easter Mass. Athough it is a great "everyday" outfit, it is certainly not appropriate for the Crown Princess of Spain to wear that to Mass on Easter! Her little girls were dressed better than she was!! She looked beautiful, but just not appropriately dressed for the very special occasion.

I like the trench coat, too (although she is way to thin for it) but this is almost what I look like when I leave the house everyday. Well, except for those shoes of course...

I couldn't have said it better -- she was inappropriately dressed for such an occasion, and she does so consistently. I thought to myself, as you did, that she does know how to dress her daughters beautifully, but she herself seems to "underdress" for many events.

Me too. What happened to Letizia? She seemed to change around the time she had the plastic surgery. It's like she is reverting back to her non-royal persona; in fact, she doesn't even have the polish of a news reader anymore. Long straight hair parted in the middle like a teenager, short skirts, pants on occasions like Easter services, chewing gum at audiences...what is this about?

I like 2006. But why has she stopped wearing skirts? Her legs look terribly skinny in trousers. Let's hope it's only a phase and we can see her next year with a nice outfit.

The 2004 and 2009 outfits both look very nice and appropriate. And you're all right: we shouldn't complain about this year's casual outfit... There's much worse than that: 2008!!

I liked the 2004 and 2009 looks the most. I´m not very fond of the others. This year outfit, though it´s good, looks too casual, especially next to the Queen and the little Infantas, who looked wonderful.

I agree with you. The 2004-look was simply wonderful, I really have to praise it. Great shoes, nice skirt and jacket and even the haircut seems much much better than nowadays. I wish she would start wearing such outfits again. She looked really beautiful back then whereas today she appears a bit plain.

I like this outfit very much. The blouse is beautiful with nice colours. She has beautiful shoes, her hair looks good and I just love those little elephants in her blouse.

Yep, I quite agree with you. At least no platform shoes... The combination of colors isn't that bad either and the blouse looks original. But I have to agree here with rsfc149 who mentioned earlier in this thread that she looks terribly skinny in those trousers, so I'd prefer a skirt in this case.

2004 was a winner - isnt the skirt by Armani and she wore it until about 2005
The outfits from 2005 and 2006 were nice as well and the white trousers from 2009 was very elegant
2008 and 2010 are abit too casual but i can forgive this year as the weather seemed to be bad on the day

Second oufit: I find the blouse just horrible.
I like her hairstyle today, allthough she needs a haircut. And nice make-up.

Wow, when you look at her through the years it's obvious her style has nosedived. 2004 and 2006 were the best, imo.

Her look at today's event was ok, nothing special. The shoes were very nice for a change. And I see her ever present blankie made an appearance.

It seams that Letizia is year up and year down regarding the easter outfits,2004,2006,2009 were up and the rest were down so we don't have to worry about next year outfit. .This year,she looks as if she is Leonor and Sofia's nanny.
